Pity this week's and next week's fixtures weren't reversed as we could use another very winnable game to get further confidence into the team. Sligo are on a very decent run and are a good footballing side, it'll be a massive challenge to get anything from the game. If Hoban starts we're well capable of winning but it'll still be tough.

Four points from next two matches should be our minimum ask from our squad if we have any aspirations of a euro spot. All very possible. Injuries starting to clear up so we are on the up. Unbeaten in four, two wins on the trot and if we can extent that run we are right back in the mix. With Bohs, Ourselves, Sligo, Shels and Pats all competing for third and fourth place, its so important to keep a run going. Patrick Hobans fitness is crucial to our game

Would have accepted a point in that game, we can count ourselves very lucky to be coming home with 3. Could have gone either way, not much between the teams. All the same, nice to get 3 points and move back up the table.

And as an added bonus - Joseph N'do wasn't in the commentary box.

On the balance of play I think we created more clearcut chances than Sligo. They just all came in the last 20 minutes, should have scored 4 in that time.

Struggled to create up to that and have Sheps to thank for the Mata save but actually thought we defended well overall, Williams in particular.

That's a big win against a side who had been getting a lot of plaudits lately

Unbelievable Jeff! I really thought we’d get beaten tonight. That’s a huge result. Sligo away is always tough and they’ve been very good at home this season. C’mon the town!!!

I thought we would get a draw tonight, would have snapped hand off you pre match.

But we were the better side in the second half, great win, now in 4th on merit.

Thought Garts made great point on LOI central podcast, we had 2 x early 20's in central defence, as Boyle and Gibraltar man out injured, + 3 more not available.

Guys if we move up the table to 4th with all this going on, this is a team doing well, and a manager who I have to admit I was a little thinking about, all doing a damn good job.

One swallow not making a summer and all that, but a welcome win and we appear (hopefully) to be heading in right direction.

A great nights work + kudos to the fans making trip over, heard them all of the second half, well done.

Good travelling support ,but my god we have some dirtbags supporting our team .Like was tere any need for them too jump the wall and run too the Sligo fans when the goal went in ,I thought only rovers fans did that.and then the fighting among themselves ,embarrassing stuff .

6 points off top, and have the same amount of points as this time last year (before we went off on a big run).

Hopefully we will be gaining lads from injurys, and that should really help to give us the possibility of kicking on. There is a lot of talent missing from the last few weeks and if we got it back on the pitch, no reason we should finish outside of Europe.

Having Hoban back makes such a massive difference to the structure of team. It even gives us an extra depth to the squad it feels as Martin can play in a more natural postion for himself.

A bench replacement for Hoban should a priority for the summer.

Is Doyle still not match fit or why isn't he starting any games. Think we are badly missing him in middle.

I suppose that's what happens when you get clowns drinking (or worse) all day on a bus down to Sligo. Saturday is a great day to travel to away matches, but not when it gives idiots more time to get off their tits on drink or whatever else they may or may not be taking. Let's be honest you can pretty much guess which bus they were on.

It seems Sligo have a lot of lets say 'challenges' on their home games from a lot of away support as its on a Sat night, free run of the day for fans to travel over and make it a party day out.

Hopefully it wasn't as bad as it sounded, as from LOITV they did sound like they were well behind the team all night.

Meant to be a great away trip on Sat night, might look into a stop over next season, last visit for me to SG was when Withnail & I scored, 1-0 win in 1995, think we won the league the following Sunday. It was a very different ground then.

On last night, have to say Williams starting to impress me, said it before there is a decent player in there.
