From that lineup I can’t make out who is starting upfront ?!
Anyway I don’t think you can risk Hoban on that surface after playing nearly 100 mins on Friday.

The starting 11 made it very clear what was to be expected. Super signings made in the off season .... SOD not getting consistency nor a tune from his signings. Some players don't look fit enough, others look tired on their legs and one or two look like they are just picking up the wage and couldn't give a shite.

Very hard to take many positives from that. I didn't think Derry played all that well but we created very little and deserved nothing. Again decent spells of possession but do nothing with it when we get to final third. It's all very familiar at this stage.

To be honest not sure what sod is playing at. Is he accepting we aren't taking anything from Derry? Play your strongest 11. There isn't the talent or squad depth currently to rotate players. It was a shocking performance. Pressure is on again now to beat Bohs on Friday. But shows results like Drogheda and Cork are false dawns and merely papering over the cracks. Am fearful for Europe this season, never mind qualifying for it again next season.

That line-up and performance felt very much like the game at Tallaght last season when we went with a 6 man midfield to try and stifle a draw, with predictable consequences. It's like when you see Bournemouth resting players away to Man City. Depressing.

Ye it's been a real pattern from the start of the season, good in possession but can't seem to find the killer pass. Not even creating chances which is the most worrying part. Most teams happy to let you play in front crosses from deep only effective when Hobans on the pitch. Even in the games we've won theres an element of luck to it all. Really concerning I think he should be considering a change of system at this stage. Whether thats just something more compact like shels that makes us hard to beat or what i dont know but feels staleLouth4sam wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 11:31 pm Very hard to take many positives from that.
