Pats v Dundalk 26.05

Post by dundalkfc1903 »

Should probably remove the game thread sub forum, it has resulted in even less posts.

Tough one tonight, our direct rivals for a European spot. Some injured players might be returning.

Fancy Pats to beat us 3-1 but let's see. Draw would be a decent result.

58% possession, 1 shot on goal.

Terrible goal to concede nobody within 10 yards of the guy crossing the ball and Muller standing watching the ball float in, throwing up a lazy arm for offside.
A lot of those loanees are lazy and disinterested

How many chances is Hayden Muller going to get? Every game he is caught in possession. Absolutely shocking player

The recruitment has been absolutely shocking. And O'Kane isn't up to the consistent standard required either. Tulloch got the goal but did absolutely nothing else. Defence is abysmal. No creativity or steel in midfield. And yet more points dropped against 10 men. The standard of the league this season is very poor and we are very poor side.

It's blind recruitment...hit and hope stuff based on third hand recommendations. The core of Stephen Kenny's teams were players he had seen play many times.

Back to recruiting from within the league or the island of Ireland with a few squad fillers from elsewhere

Have to say as well that the red card was bizarre as Malley had their guy in a headlock.

The better team won.

We’re going nowhere with this squad and manager.

Owners who don't want to be here, manager trying to play good.football but hasn't the players that can play. We depend on the likes of a Ward, McCourt, Lewis to change a game. These are poor loi players, would be pushed to get a club elsewhere. Very annoyed to see what our club has become.

That costs... when your competing with Pats/Bohs/Sligo for best of the rest... a cost we don't seem to want to spend

Muller was signed on a 2 year deal. A few players are lightweight like Alfie Lewis and Yli Kokko. Good if given space ,but brushed off the ball too easily.

At last some players are on the way back from injury and on the bench, though unused. Hopefully when the injured players are back things will look at least a little bit better.

I would have to say most of the new recruits are lazy shite bags.
How does Malley start every game? A cowardly player who goes missing when things get tight. Should have been sent off.

Davies - plenty of effort, unfortunately lacking in any footballing ability.

Muller - woeful. Caught on the ball every single fcking game.

Williams - accident waiting to happen. Might be ok with an experienced partner.

Yli Kokko - no idea where he plays , neither does O Donnell, different position every game, sometimes multiple positions in the one game

Elliott - as expected nowhere near the standard required. May as well bring on a scarecrow to partner Hoban, at least it would occupy a defender.

Tulloch - show.pony , somehow pops up with an odd goal but in general play contributes nothing.
