Just some notes. Two assists last night for Keith Ward. What a great addition he is.

Was impressed with the interviews Annesley and Malley. They seem to have a bit of character about them.

I must admit, I'm a bit of a fair weather contributor to this forum these days but after last night's performance I had to come back on. Definitely this seasons best performance. From the first minute we could see the tactics Skip sent them out with. A high press, close down every Rovers player and pin them in. And for the most part, it worked to a tee. If you can limit Rovers to roughly 2 shots on target all night then you are in with a decent shout of beating them. I was fairly critical of Skip all season but he definitely got it spot on last night. If we can repeat that performance going forward, we'll have nothing to worry about.

I've been critical of Malley and Kelly recently but they were both excellent tonight a real hunger.

The shed was rocking as well with proper fans, those idiots can take their weed and flares and stay away, won't be missed.
+1 on this,, most would struggle to identify 3 players in the team.. last night was one of the best OP atmospheres without them.
Superb performance,, Skip got it spot on and is overachieving when you see the table .. Davies or Kelly MOTM for me without a doubt

+2 on this for me!! These boys think they are more important than they really are!! Did they really think that their flares, that cost the club thousands of euro make a difference to how the team plays? Brilliant atmosphere last night, both shed and standing singing in unison, lovely stuff!!

Also, if the rumours of the offending tweet are true, than it says a whole lot about the lads in the SSA that they stand by the offender and think others should support them. The mask has well and truly slipped!!

Also factor they are causing the club fines and are the sole reason TV cameras no longer come near the place.. Good riddance

Unfortunately that won't be the end of them, they'll be back and nothing will change, they think they own the shed and can do what they want. There's a few decent lads in there but they need to get rid of the bad apples. Not hard to identify them, they tend to travel on the same crappy bus.

Was funny seeing them all behind the goal and nobody paying any attention to them other than to laugh at how ridiculous they look. Then at the final whistle they all just walk out, who do they think they are?

What's all this about the fools with the flares? Has something happened?

Think it means the shed was a better place without the flares, which means no fines ,and better without the fools who light the flares .

Spectacular own goal by SSA. I've defended them a good bit on here when warranted but their decision to protest because a member more or less called a club volunteer a pedophile was foolish. It proved even more so when the atmosphere was electric in shed and all their protest did was to make the crowd look bigger by standing in an area that is usually empty.

Skip got everything right last night, line up, game plan, subs. It was a phenomenal performance and some of the players had their best games for us. The last 30 minutes against Pats and the full 90 against Rovers feels like we've turned a corner.

Hopefully another big performance against Bohs on Friday and we will be sitting nicely going into European games. Squad is getting very threadbare though, we just can't get any luck with injuries and two loanees gone. I'd be worried if we pick up any more injuries and we may not have Boyle or McCourt joining that injury list.
