Not much point in dwelling on last night.

Big 6 days coming where we need maximum points to stay in the hunt for Europe next year. Certainly expect Horgan to feature at some point and possible changes at the back. I think Brownlie and McCourt should start.

Ye with Bohs having drogs tonight, then Pats Derry Rovers its the chance to get back ahead in the next few weeks. Brownlie probably not match fit. I'd be looking to play Hoban and Martin and then balance the team around that. I'd still have Leahy over McCourt too even if he was poor last night

Shelbourne games tend to be overly physical, which would be my reason for playing McCourt. I also fear that - through necessity - Leahy is at risk of over use. As regards starting Martin, I assume you would play him on the wing instead of Kelly? Having a 6, 8, and a 10 are what has served us best in the past. We certainly don't want to be set up like last night. To be fair, I initially thought it was 4-4-2 but gave up when I realised Doyle was playing behind Leahy.

There is also the question of whether Horgan starts or comes on from the bench. Either way, his inclusion will necessitate a review in how we are set up, or what we can switch to without upsetting the balance. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that some of this year's substitutions have left us in strange formations.

If fit i think Horgan should start or get a good run in second half, we showed last night that if we can put good balls into the box we can score, in 90 mins we had 2 good crosses and scored both times. I’d also like to see brownlie come into the defence, we have an awful goals conceded record (worst in the top 6) and the current set up is always prone to lazy mistakes and for me it’s a major reason we are out of Europe.

Ye they keep it very tight and are hard bet we’ll drilled side with two good players up top. Ye I think you go back to 4-3-3 Malley in front of Sloggett and Doyle O’Kane or Horgan left and Martin right. Options off the bench then to cover everywhere. All easy said when you’re sittin in the stand I know but I doubt he’ll play 4-4-2 again

I'd like to see Brownlie and Horgan start on Sunday, why not, freshen things up.

Hope I am wrong as he went through a bad old time, but I`m not that convinced on Annseley at the minute, didn't cover himself in glory in the euro games he played in, but hopefully he can improve as he the ability.

I'd be worried about the attendance, the English League pub fans will be all back in force for their super sunday, but Shels to be fair and surprisingly have taken good support last few seasons, either way 2k would be an achievement tomorrow.

Felt we were very solid for 60 odd minutes tonight. Then came the subs and our structure at the back was gone and holes appeared which they targeted and took advantage of. Also have to give a big shout out to the midfield and lads up front ... ran themselves into the ground. Had we had those levels of intensity / energy against KA we would be going to Belgium, some difference to a sauntering Malley walking around the pitch at times.

Ye McCourt came off and we went 4-3-3 would’ve thought straight swap for Leahy. We’d a couple of good chances to make it 2. Always felt they had 1 in them and I thought they wer good value for the draw tbh. We’d plenty of the ball but they set up as expected and same as Thursday had space out the flanks but never really knew what to do with it. Sligo Friday a must win

Horgan started brightly but tired in the second half.A lack of game time. Slogget had a good game in the middle. Harry Wood the Hull loanee was very good for Shels.

Thought SOD cost us the 3 points there with the subs & change of formation.
We were comfortable at 1-0 i felt and without creating loads looked slightly the more likely to get the next goal so why he decided to take a defender off and replace with O'Kane & Kelly was baffling.
After taking so long to make changes on Thursday yesterday he seemed to be making them just for the sake of it resulting in us totally losing or shape. Definitely 2 points dropped which makes Europe looking a long shot now.

Totally have to agree with that . The changes at the back cost us . The Shels boy ghosted in & no cover ,
WTF . SOD knows the story & that is an Airtight back four , get that right & your sucking diesel . Garts knows the story , & that is two centre backs , that impose themselves , like Tommy Mc Connville & Dermot Keely. Thats it , it starts at the back . Airtight Back Four . End Of Story. 👍
