I've set this thread up, although I'm not really sure why. I would imagine that most posters will be looking at other threads.

I’ll be paying close attention to this one. O’Donnell is on very thin ice, god knows what team, formation or tactical approach he will take but it’s last chance saloon for me.

I wouldn't expect a loss here to mean that it's the end of the road. You'd have to think that he'll need to win the home game against Cork though, unless we've secured a result in Inchicore before that. Then again none of us are savvy to what kind of footing he's on with the owners. Maybe he already has a guarantee to the end of the season. Who knows.

While Pats have only won 3 times in the league since 30 June (UCD x 2 plus Sligo) they are in box seats for Europe. Our confidence is now negative so I just can't see us getting anything out of the game. Irrespective of what we do against Cork, a poor result/performance at home to Drogheda 4 days later and you would expect that O'Donnell's position would become untenable, if only on the basis of emotional reaction.

Another way to look at it is that Pat's have only lost 1 of their last 11 domestic matches. That was away to Shels and an injury time winner after playing 30 minutes with 10 men.

By all accounts they were poor away to Finn Harps but I'm in agreement on Friday being a complete long shot.

I don't see any point in getting rid of SOD even if we lose the next 2 or 3. At this stage he may as well see out the season one way or another. Unless we've been talking to potential replacements already.

(Have to wait for the FAI to sack Kenny anyway!)

Fully expect O'Donnell to go with a similar line up to last week. He made no changes from the Derry defeat. He gives the same players chance after chance and he will fall on his sword.

Hi lads, new to the forum but have been following it for a while, hoping for a major improvement Friday night and I think we'll see a battling performance, I'd be surprised if they weren't given a right bollocking this week and I'm expecting a response, I doubt it will be the same line out as previousl games , normally after poor results some players will pay and loose their place so I'd expect 3 or 4 changes .

Welcome to the forum, good to see some optimism.

Has there been any word on injuries ?

Hope to see a more convincing performance, but I think it is going to be difficult to get a result, Pat's are going to raise their game, maybe Stephen can motivate them after the past few games.

Looks like it's Muller and Sloggett centre back with Benson left back. And two left backs on the bench.
He has lost it

Mayowa not even in the squad despite muller being the only identifiable centre back. Must be as good as gone even though I think he’s under contract. This could be a bloodbath
