Cork City will be back in the first Division unless they find some form for the play offs

Small attendance but was probably to be expected, 5-0 didn't flatter us as cork were woeful and will struggle in the playoffs, other results went out way also but a much bigger test coming Friday.

Think we will need a few bodies back in defence if we are to beat anyone above us. Sloggett Brownlie Muller will not work.
Thought Doyle was doing well in the 6 role until his injury. Archie played well, and good to see an academy player come on...

Pats nailed on for the Cup v Cork City& I fancy Galway to beat Bohs in Galway ( John Caufield doing some job in the West ) Could be a Pats v Galway final & we will all be cheering for Pats . 😊

The team won 5-0 and kept a clean sheet and your still banging on about the defence. You really are laughable πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Because they are absolutely embarrassingly bad against any reasonable opposition, including first division teams.

I mean on one hand I'm delighted that there's fight in the old dog, but at the same time annoyed that that level of performance was always there and now we're in a position where we NEED to win a Louth derby and our head to heads against both Bohs and Shels to even have a sniff of that last European spot.

We'll probably need 12 or 13 points from the last 15 on offer to even have that chance.

That's form we have rarely shown all season, now it could happen, one game at a time and all that jazz starting with Friday, but its a fairly big ask.

Worryingly Hoban is not scoring, apart from 93rd min consolation pen v Derry when was his last goal, surely not Magpies at home?

Just checked last night was only our 8th clean sheet in 25 games in the league !

I actually don't think we played much better than we have in many other games but just things went our way yesterday. If we had of had some of that luck against Pats we would have beaten them. Not like Pats peppered our goals or anything. Two very poor defensive errors.

A lot of Cork City fans on Twitter didn't think Dundalk were particularly good. More a capitulation by them. They gave away some terrible goals. The 3 in first half were all avoidable

They are a deplorable side. Wouldn't fancy them beating Waterford in the playoffs.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.
