You played against the only part time team in the league today who didn't deserve to lose. That's how bad o donnell is, a complete buffer

Re post above re markey. He'd walk into any team in league if he was prepared to go full time. He's not - so that's good for us!

On the plus side, I didn't see your scumbag steward calling out drogheda supporters for a fight tonight
Part time or not ,drogheda or as bad as Dundalk ,2 absolute brutal teams.
And off you think Markey would walk into any team in the league you know nothing about football .Drogheda is his level .

Markey has got numerous offers over the last few years to go full time both in ireland and England over the last few years but won't as he's got a good accountancy gig. It's the only reason we've been able to hold on to him tbh.

You're the only opposition supporter I've heard not rate markey. But no surprise considering the dross you have to watch as "full time football" every week, your judgement mightnt be the best πŸ˜„

Markey is a bang average player who just runs around a lot, hence he plays for Drogheda. If he were better, perhaps Drogheda could have finished higher than 7th since 2012?

Dundalks worst years is considered Drogheda's golden times.

(Just FYI, Dundalk has played in two Europa league group stages since the last time Drogheda finished above midtable).

He's on about Drogheda being shite. You are on trolling here after you got a draw against us. that's one point from the previous 15 on offer to you. 1 point. We took 13 of those points. So I think you should lay off the harp or star bars and remember that your club is forever in our shadow.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

Anyway.

I thought we were the slightly less poor of two poor teams. Really should have won it second half, even 11 v 11, but it's still hard to see where the goals are coming from. Mayowa was immense at the back. I was just thinking we had our back 4 sorted when Davies goes and gets himself sent off for being an absolute idiot. Kicking the ball away when we're chasing the win, Jeezus wept. Of course he didn't commit the foul, but he's in the league long enough to know and expect the refereeing to be atrocious. By the letter of the law the Drogs lad probably shouldn't have gone either- it was a horrible, sneaky deliberate foul but there was cover, I don't think it was an obvious goalscoring opportunity for Durrant (unless he was sent off for serious foul play, which seems unlikely). Still, at least we've found one team as bad as us. Oostenbrink, O'Kane, Gullen not at the races at all.

I think it was a deserved red. it was a hatchet job tackle from behind, through the 2 legs.Like something Vinnie Jones would have done.

Yeah I'd say the red was for serious foul play or violent conduct, rather than denial of a goalscoring opportunity. Was nowhere near challenging for the ball.

Davies is a terrific player but his red card today was beyond stupid. We all laughed when he squirted yer man with water, but to react in the way he did to a poor decision was inexcusable when on a yellow.

So another change to the back 4 on Friday night. Looks like Michael Duffy vs John Mountney then...

Any part time team (especially when you are the only part time team in the league) that gets a point away from home against any full time team and a point at home against the cup winners over 4 days should be happy. But we're disappointed by that, deserved to beat pats by 2 goals and couldn't capitalise on a rubbish dundalk side. Disappointing weekend for us

If you think that was a deserved red, you're following the wrong sport.

As for your own red, pure stupidity. First yellow crying over a player whose allowed walk anywhere he wants on the pitch. He'd want to grow a pair and man up a bit, a complete idiot

Take off the Drogheda bias for a second. He took the player out of it from behind, no attempt to play the ball. A wild lunge. If it happened around the half way line it would have been red. Only because he wasn't last man, some are playing it down.

Davies did deserve to go.
