Amond had a great game. Great movement and finishing.

Pats and Bohemians eyeing up Archie Davies at the end of the season, according to Garry Doyle in the Star.

S%!t stirring of the highest order, and only 3 months into the season. This kind of rubbish only starts after
  • the club drags its heels on offering a contract extension
  • the player makes it clear they want to keep their options open
Reynolds is a cowboy but I'm struggling to believe that Stephen Kenny would brief a journalist that he was going after a currently contracted Dundalk player with 5 months still left in the season.

If anyone’s looking a stark example of where we’re at compared to other LOI clubs look at the number of teenagers who featured in Pats 3-0 win over Bray tonight

It has become fairly clear at this point of the season that we have no one who can command aerial balls in either defence or attack. We are fairly comfortable when we pass the ball around on the ground but we have no real attacking options when he look up to cross a ball into the box. Similarly when we win a corner we never look like scoring and we are very fragile when defending corners.

We have no one of the stature of Brian Gartland when attacking a cross from a corner or free kick. Likewise we are missing a Pat Hoban who was unbelievable in defending corners.

We have enough ballers and not enough grunt in the air. It was very frustrating to see all of Munro’s kick outs the other night in Galway and losing every contest in the air.

Hopefully we can sign a defender and attacker in the transfer window who can seriously attack a ball from a
cross or corner.

Finally, abusing the team after losing the other night is bang out of order. I realise that we all get frustrated with losing a game but we need to get behind the team who are clearly trying their best but are also low in confidence. Let’s get behind the team and regain our rightful position challenging for the league.

Nice to hear Daly saying in his interview that he will be looking to recruit in the next window. Hopefully he can sort out a few of those problems.

Could all dundalk supporters please bring up the subject of Oriel Park with the political callers. This is a great opportunity for fans to show them how passionate we are about oriel and what needs to be done with it.Please don't miss this opportunity.

You might also point out that, if they intend objecting to a development, let the trade off be remedial work in Oriel Park rather than their own home.

Well said, had one lady here at work (FG member) tell me that all they are hearing is Louth GAA and what can be done for local soccer clubs when out in Dundalk knocking on doors. Not a mention of Oriel ..

It's a good point. Why would politicians give a damn if they're not being told about it.
