Great news
Never know with these things but the usually accurate Transfermarket.com now updated his profile to say he's here until Nov 30

Nothing official from the club on Johnson, but plenty of reliable sources reporting it. Great news if we get that across the line.

Sunderland not currently having a manager in place might be a bit of a hurdle, as who would they be speaking to?

Good point but would say its being handled by their loans manager or academy manager, Johnson isn't actually on the Sunderland first team so doubt senior manager would be overly involved. Saw another article saying his loan finishes on July 6 , prob won't hear anything official until then in any case I'd imagine .

For the English Clubs 6 month's until the summer is good because the loan players from Ireland will be match fit going into their pre season in July. A loan until November means they can't play in the UK until January. 2 months of no football

Linked with Aaron Dobbs from Wexford and Ben Wilson from Cliftonville as well, can't imagine we'll sign 2 strikers?
Dobbs record in 1st Division a little bit uninspiring to say least but then he can't be any worse than Cammy Elliott

The chance of European football with Cliftonville or a relegation battle with Dundalk. There would want to be decent wages on offer.

Doesn't appear like Sloggett will be coming back, seemingly Pats and Derry have better offers in.

Also, anyone hear a rumour about Georgie Kelly linked ?

I don't see Kelly going to Dundalk. He only joined Carlisle in January on 3 1/2 year deal, and missed a few months with injury. Made his debut at the end of the season. They will likely want him to get back up to league 1.

I'd say slim link ok, we are meant to be getting a GK on trial from Scotland next week I heard.

Rossiter back at Oriel. 2nd best fullback I ever saw in LOI, after Ganno of course.

You obviously never saw Tootsie, John Murphy, Jackie McManus, Martin Lawlor or Eamonn Gregg?

Good appointment. Heard him doing co commentary on a couple of matches and wondered why he wasn't involved in coaching as sounded very knowledgeable. Daly putting a decent backroom team together.

Not to mention Tommy Mc, RF from 76-81, then moved into centre and won the league the following season (partnering Dunning) after Keely moved to Glentoran, summer of 81*

*A move Keely said he always regretted, mentioned in his newspaper article once, playing for Glentoran is a minor cup game, the same night 18k at the 1-1 DFC v Spurs draw in oriel!

Anyway Rossiter was a fine player, but no disrespect, there would have been 10 possibly 15 better than him in full DFC era at full backs.
