McGill looks useful, and far better getting players from that standard (Scot Championship - wouldn't be too far off LOI PD) than taking a risk easter europe, look at Bohs this week, released two from that region only signed in Jan or Feb.

Also the perm move is also a lot better than any loan deal, he seems a direct replacement for Scott High, hopefully he turns out to be a decent addition from July, and good he can get a full 2 weeks training under his belt, as the first game in July is on 04/07.

Also heard Pats not interested in letting Keeley move.

Nightmare. Johnson is probably out player of the year so far. Suddenly recruitment becomes even more critical this summer

Massive loss. Such a tidy and confident player for a 19 year old. Are we looking at Annesley coming into the team or someone else?

Bradshaw likely gone too so we are looking at replacing two of our back four that have been performing well especially at home.

Thats the one of the two 'Zaks' that we were hopeful of keeping, Bradshaw was also going, real pity and huge loss, he was a giant in defence.

Mayo needs to step up, as I`m sure Annsley seems a decent fella, I just don't rate him at this level, so that's two defenders we now need and that won't be easy.

4 players (1 GK and 1 was prob McGill) were over on trial last week though.

That's the risk we took. 6 month loans are useless to us really. Yes we saw a great young player who helped us to a club record 8 consecutive home clean sheets. However we now need to replace him at the business end of the season and hope whoever comes in hits the ground running.

I wonder is there many decent players who have become free agents since the end of the season in the Uk. Derry are looking at a few https://www.derryjournal.com/sport/foot ... 1719180019

Getting loan players in July is more difficult because the players will be all looking to impress in pre season

Do we now take the risk of playing mountney at left back for rest of season and hoping he holds out without an injury.

Re loan players in July. Doesn't work for uk based players as they are tied then from when our season ends end of October til january and can't play until that uk window open.

Re Keely from pats. Can't seen it happening. He's first choice centre back for them.also if between us and drogs it'll be drogs over us considering he was with them last season!
Drogs are scum!

This might sound bad ,but are we giving up on Jamie walker ,a natural left back .

I don't think he's played under Daly yet. So maybe he'll get one more chance.

If he not in the plans ,he won't be getting chances. Pats terminated Kieran Freeman's contract. He played at a decent level in Scotland but wasn't up to standard at Pats.
