2 legs in a final would just be favouring the Prem teams who are mostly full time. If they aren't good enough over 90 minutes in a neutral venue, then they no complaints.

Well there is that argument also, plus its only 1 game for the PD club v at least 3 before for the FD to get there.

Still a high risk game.

If we are not good enough to win it in a one off game, then we are not good enough to play in the top tier next season.

Yeah, it's tough luck for Daly with the hamstring pull. And the playoff setup is definitely high risk for PD clubs. A single game in a neutral venue feels like a lottery, especially with the pitch conditions in November. I agree that two legs would be fairer, but I see the argument for one game too. By the way, those plans from Sligo and Wexford sound promising—hopefully, we can see some similar developments for Dundalk in the near future.

All I can say is God protect me from American justice. If you shout loud and long enough or pay enough money then you should be tickety boo.

It is indeed amazing that in a country where you cannot run for President if you are not born there but you can if you have been convicted of 34 Felon charges. Only in America!

Dawson Devoy linked back to the League. Alan Reynolds looks to be getting back the Bohs team of 2021. Devoy would be a good signing

Derry girls beaten 2 zip by Magpies. All that money they’ve spent and all those Dundalk players they’ve bought….

Possibly the worst result in Europe of all time. Higgins should easily have the league wrapped up and get them through a couple of rounds in Europe with the money they have spent.

The coefficient will have taken a whack. Rovers got praise for drawing in Iceland but they could still blow it in Tallaght.

Magpies tried to sign Hoban in the winter window but he asked for too much and they felt they could get better value for money from Spain (the striker they signed instead scored 8 goals in 15 games). I think Magpies got the better deal looking at his performance tonight, clearly can't cope with the conditions down there.

Shelbourne rescued some coefficient points by scraping past St Joseph's but they'll have the same brutal conditions Derry faced next week.

The standard of football in our league has really gone backwards by a long way.
