Cork City are having 2 golf classics for fundraising. One in Cork and one in K Club for Cork people living around the Eastern area.

https://www.corkcityfc.ie/home/2023/04/ ... s-package/

Most clubs are pro active. Dundalk in danger of being left behind in a few years. Bohemians will be playing in a redeveloped Dalymount, Sligo Rovers will have a redeveloped Showgrounds.

Lads it might be a good thing for SS and FastFix to have the club as a loss maker on their books so that they can write it all off against their own company profits. We are not privi to such info as that is something that only interests the owners. Do I agree with everything they do ... no most certainly not, however it is as it was with Peak6 ... it is their money they are putting in so they have a right to do it as they or their accountants tell then to.

More worrying is that SS are supposed to be the fitness makers/specialists/data men .... do our players look fitter than others? There is something not right in the club .... the question is ... who or what is it? Is it the manager or is it above him?

I don’t believe the owners are in it for money or tax reasons.

Rogers did mention in the podcast that there are rumours of potential cash investment but that it wasn’t close yet. Wonder what it is but hopefully the board can get it over the line

I never said they are in it for money or tax reasons .... they are business people so yes they are in it for money or to at least leave it without a big loss. As for taxes ... why wouldnt they be interested in using the loss from DFC to reduce the tax on their main income streams? If they were not doing it, I would be surprised. It is a win win for both sides ....

James Rogers mentioned on the Pressbox that Shepperd could be a target for UK clubs in July.

The 3 loan players deal are up in July whether they will be kept on for the rest of the season.. Williams now a free agent

Yea I found that podcast bizarre to be honest. They are discussing the possibility of signing Horgan yet we can’t even make an offer for Sheppard.
They’re talking about the owners making a statement signing with Horgan. 2 weeks earlier Andy Burton is making it clear on the same pod that he hasn’t heard anything from OP re Sheppard. A lot of fans need a reality check

Another long monologue from James Rogers bemoaning off field activities in Oriel. Next day we have our first signing and an eye opening interview from Garts telling us a lot about finances, signings and behind the scenes activities.

I totally agree with you on this,i listened to the podcast this morning from yeah listen james rodgers a long boring rant.It seems to me that he has very little to report so let's have a go athe the owners the manager etc.Maybe the board are not doing enough in his opinion but its very easy standing on the sidelines and start slagging.Maybe it's time he got off his arse and did something instead of always knocking people.
