He'd be a good replacement for Williams. Afolabi would be a decent addition to the attack aswell.

Very disappointing he picked up that injury as he looked a quality player and was getting better each week.

Yes I was told its a 2 year perm deal, to the end of 2023Towelie wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 7:36 pmIs he on a 2 year deal? I thought it was just for the season.mike wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 5:12 pm Connolly will be a tough one to keep, we absolutely want him to stay and he does too, but the post P6 set up with modest spending might have an impact, other clubs may offer more.
We are lucky to have Shep on a 2 year perm deal though, his stock is rising all the time. Super signing.
Luca Connell has been released by Celtic, young and could do a job at this level I'd say

This is great news indeed. We all know there is a lot more to a goalkeeper than just stopping shots. A good goalkeeper instils confidence throughout the team. And Shep is a very good goalkeeper indeed.mike wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 3:14 pmYes I was told its a 2 year perm deal, to the end of 2023Towelie wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 7:36 pmIs he on a 2 year deal? I don't think its a 2 year deal. It says here the contract expires on November 30th, 22.

The attitudes of the lads coming in have been brilliant. Whoever has been getting these lads over have been doing a great job.

Wouldn't expect us to get him, but Kieran Sadlier is out of contract at the end of the month.

Andy, serious question, I know your company reps NS and all parties obviously delighted its working out well, good for him, good for DFC, everyones a winner.Andy Burton wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 9:26 pm 1 year deal with a 1 year option lads. Nothing to worry about though.
My Q is, and heard you a few times on podcasts, did I hear you say you are 'a massive Dundalk fan' regardless of NS link.

Only did one podcast Mike but yeah I’d say it’s fair to describe myself as a fan, not in the same way as the lifelong supporters who followed the club since they were kids of course, but the 2019 season had a big impact on me and I continued to follow the club from that period through to today. I have a real soft spot for DFC and as I don’t support a team here in the UK I’d say Dundalk is the team I follow most closely.

Good man Andy, and great to hear !
Always interesting to see your posts online after games, the Brian Kerr one was hilarious.

Andy do you have a replacement for us should an offer come in from the UK/Europe for the lad? Any other players of his level who you would like to send to Oriel?
