Patterson will have lots of offers. He's better then a lot of players in the Premier Division.

Ye both have looked good players consistently was strange they didn’t get a move back in January surely there was offers from premier teams

I think Waterford kept the bulk of the Squad from last season with the aim of going straight back up. They are likely on decent wages for the season.

They are yeah. Waterford, Galway and Cork City in the First Division are full time.

Waterford go through a lot of English owners and managers.

Another year of LOI football should help O Kane. He's 19 now so its better to keep playing regularly and developing ,then moving to somewhere like Celtic, like Johnny Kenny and playing in the lower leagues on loan.

Absolutely can see how much he’s even developed in the last year. He’s clearly been above 19s standard for two years but was hard for him to break the first team. Deserves all the luck really nice kid and look forward to watching him for a few seasons more good business by the club

Brilliant news, and just great to see about young Ryan.

Danno Kelly may not be everyone's cup of tea but if we can keep this front line fit, this will be some trio up top. some pace too.

Kelly............Hoban..........O'Kane

Fantastic news. Great young fella from a nice family and the potential to be a Dundalk great. Absolutely delighted at this news. Him and the keeper have been two real positives and both are young lads. Well done Steven and the board. Please get Nathan signed for at least a couple of years.

It has been very frustrating for us this year with the number of injuries and a drop off in form.

Imagine what it must be like from a Derry fans perspective. A squad assembled with unlimited funds, cherry picking top players from your rivals, and they blow the chance to contest the league this coming Sunday.

Doesn't matter how much money you have, if you don't have a good manager.. if we look at it, dummigan, McEleney, Duffy, Patching all signed from a very poor Dundalk side. Effectively we got the absolute best out of them. Yes they missed Duffy for a long part of the season, but I don't think the quality is there in that Derry side. They are just throwing stupid money at it signing guys past their prime. And in Connolly a guy over 30 on big bucks.

I actually feel a bit sorry for McEleney and Duffy. Hometown players get more grief than outsiders, especially when people have seen you play much better somewhere else. Dummigan - as a utility back and DM - I would have back. Not so sure about Patching. Yes he is excellent at free kicks and penalties, but I think Lewis has the makings of a really good player, especially with Wardie as a mentor. A full pre-season should see a further improvement.

Derry lack a cutting edge. They have creative players, but Jamie McGonigle had a quiet enough season after a good start. They'll probably bring in a striker or 2 over the Winter.

Great shout that Richie, I was purring over McGonigle early season thought he was best in the league, he has been v quiet.

Also good point from Niall on having loads of money and not a good manager, I just don't see Higgins as a league winning manager, I also think if he is well behind Rovers next season they won't hesitate in chopping him.

We really need to get europe, then get the recruitment spot on, so many key positions to fill, central defence, central mid, and a decent back up to Hoban, haven't had once since 2019 (G Kelly) save for McMillan's purple patch winter 2020 ending with his cup final hatrick.

We need a player that can fit in seamlessly if ever Hoban is out, one that the system won't need to be changed, SOD should know well who we need. SK tried loads of these kind of players from Tommy Stewart to Jake Kelly from Bray, guys like that. It has been a really disappointing season from Martin, I'd expected a lot more from him and unfortunately McMillan is finished.
