So is Bone going to be out RB with Mountney to fill in if needed? I think Bone played there for Pats a lot last season?

Bone played RF for Pats in cup final, I would def see him as first choice RF, think he started 30+ games last season, of course Pats fans watering it down 'he only played as others out injured and covered a host of positions' (great) !

Looks like the squad is complete. I'm a little worried.

If Benson, Hoban and Boyle all start 30+ league games we will be fine I'd say. Any serious injuries to one or more of those 3 and I think we'll be close to the playoff spot.

I like the look of the squad. Good mix within of different experiences. Players finishing their careers, in their peak, and 20 years looking to start their careers. Bit worried for Macari and Bradley who look a bit light. Sheppard too. But I am happy, and excited for the year. Heres hoping for a couple of breakout seasons form some of the younger lads.

My guess of the starting team:

Martin - Sloggett - Williams-Adams

From that, only Sheppard and Williams never played senior football before . Maybe Macari comes in at right back.

Agree . Some of the new players seemed to be getting into their stride against Galway but that’s a week and half to the Malone cup

Perhaps with all these new players the time was better spent familiarising themselves with each others - and Skips - style of play.

That was Filippos logic last year with the Foreign imports. There is pros and cons ,as more time on the training field can be a.benefit too

To be fair, there is a difference, the new imports are coming in mid-way through their season, and would have been full-time training and playing junior games since August or July.

Flippos and Magiltons signings were without clubs and out of contract for a period, and hadn't played any organised football in while.

They are coming in mid season from mainly U23 football in England. It's wouldn be' as competitive as Senior football in Ireland, but it's better then nothing.

So what do we know about Robbie McCourt? Did he play regularly for Sligo this season and why are they selling him to one of their rivals? Did we pay a transfer fee??

Did well at Waterford, has a lot of quality went to Sligo seemingly did well then got injured which allowed Paddy Kirk in at LB and never really got his place back.
