Re: Club Gear 2022
I suspect this will become the Away kit next season, and a new Home kit will be laumched. They will then be in a cycle of changing one kit each season - until we change sponsors. But you're right. There will be no European games, EA Sports Cup, or Leinster Senior Cup. Max 18 LoI Away (including clashes with Pats, Derry, Shelbourne and Sligo) and 5 cup ties. Maybe its to help the Welsh lads feel at home.

Without having a home or away kit change, I’d see this as a revenue generating jersey release. Oldfogey is probably correct about it being the away jersey next season. Although they may change if we make Europe and then I think both home and away jerseys would change for 2022/2023.

Anyone know how long the current jersey sponsorship has left to run?
God forbid I would ever agreed with Conor Hoey on anything, but I've just realised I'm not particularly inclined to type out their name.

I doubt there'll be a new home kit this season since the new players are wearing last seasons kit in photos etc, I hope I'm wrong because I really hate last seasons kit. I think I remember reading that the Bet Regal sponsorship was for 2 years.

We're definitely keeping both last year's shirts for a second year this time around anyway. The black and amber is being called the third shirt on umbro.ie and the new red one is called the away but the club has them the other way around. Looking forward to seeing the red one in the flesh, nice design and at least they colour matched the sponsor's logo this time. We'll end up wearing the black and amber more often all the same with all the clashes you've identified there. Rovers introduced a new away shirt which is white with green stripes, not sure they've understood the concept there.oldfogey wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:36 amI suspect this will become the Away kit next season, and a new Home kit will be laumched. You don't know the half of it. Among the suggestions that were rejected a "away kit" were a mankini, a ski suit, and packet of ham sandwiches.DanielSexton wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 4:10 pmWe're definitely keeping both last year's shirts for a second year this time around anyway. Re: Club Gear 2022
This could get very messy. While other Clubs are in the middle of contracts with Umbro, ours - along with Drogheda - expires at the end of the season. If a new one has already been signed, one would hope that it contains a termination clause in the event that either party is wound up. A new kit may already be in production which could be very awkward. Otherwise we could get bogged down as an "asset" of JACC while a receiver tries to generate some income.

I’d be surprised if Umbro didn’t step in somehow. Whatever about the clubs, they would hardly want bad publicity around national teams not getting their Umbro supplies.

Re: Club Gear 2022
The FAI already cut them off at the knees - presumably over breach of contract. They would have that entitlement if JACC were in default over payments. Clubs are different in that their "income" is in the form of a credit line for supply of team kits. Its based on the estimated turnover of club gear during the season. Once you hit the credit limit you have to start paying.
The FAI is different in that the licensing fee due to them for selling jerseys etc. would far outstrip the value of kits supplied to the various teams. According to Dan's report the FAI are a substantial creditor of JACC. It's already been to court once this week, so this isn't just hearsay or social media gossip. Any FAI stock that JACC have would be valued at the "lower of Cost or Net Realisable Value". The termination of the contract automatically makes the kit a collectors item for a few people, and out of date for the rest of us, wiping a big chunk off their balance sheet. The Revenue are owed 2.5M, so buying a jersey now won't put the money into the FAI's pocket.

Re: Club Gear 2022
When I was on the Umbro website last week before this stuff blew up, there was no Dundalk section (all the other LOI teams were there). It seems to have been added now, but with no stock available.

Re: Club Gear 2022
Hearing Playr-fit are one of the front runners, very surprised if thats true as I help out with a local underage team and they took 3 months to deliver one training 3/4 zip top and one kids training top.
I`m really not sure moving from junior / local to LOI / national would be for them, they are based in Newry so maybe as SS also based same area they have links, who knows?
Whoever gets it, would seem they will be up against the clock to get anything ready for the xmas market, unless a decision was made some time ago and its already in place.
Also heard Bet Regal will be confirmed again as main sponsor.
