Bellurgans U-15s are in the National cup final against St. Kevins. Fantastic achievement. Hopefully a couple of future Lilywhites in that team.

Huge congratulations to Bellurgan Utd u15s who beat a much fancied St Kevins side 3-2 today to become SFAI u15 Cup Winners.

More success for local clubs as the Louth Schoolgirls League representative side won the Gaynor Bowl in Limerick. This is the girls equivalent of the Kennedy Cup of which people might be more familiar. It would be nice to see both them and Amy Broadhurst invited to Oriel Park for an upcoming match.

Any word on Mountney. I understood he was nearing a return a few weeks ago. Hope he hasn't suffered a relapse.

I heard - in the Q in LIDL - that he got married at the weekend. Not sure if that counts as a relapse.

He had a slight set back a couple of weeks back but played 45 in recent friendly V Bohs and cameout unscathed. He did get married in Malta over the weekend and will be back in contention on his return

On the flip side of that, if we win our two games in hand we could be 12 points ahead of fourth place. Any one of us would have taken that at the start of the season.

A poor result for Derry at home . I thought the Irish teams would struggle in Europe going from the League form. Shamrock Rovers were fortunate to be drawn with Hibernians of Malta ,and have the safety net of 2 bites of the cherry should the progress into the next round.
Sligo won away in Wales but the Welsh teams are poor. Pats had a bye into the next round due to Russia not having teams involved. They will likely face Mura of Slovakia in next round.

May be slightly off topic, but Mc Ginty saved 2 pens to let Sligo progress tonight in Europe.
Also see that Michael Duffy came on as a sub in their defeat to Riga. while I'm delighted to see him return I suppose I was hoping it would be after we had played them.
