Announce Sheps on a 10-year deal Andy.
I think if we've to have any chance of challenging this year we'll need to win 7-8 of our last 10. It'll take a herculean run to achieve that but from the raw grit and determination displayed by these lads all season, I honestly can't write them off.

West Ham recalling Joseph Anang to send him on loan to Derby County for the season. He's done well at St Pats after a shaky start. A chance for Odumosu now.

Re: 2022 Season General Thread
Looking at the numbers and fixtures, we can only win the title if we beat Rovers next weekend and they subsequently drop 8 to 10 points on the run-in. Our form is good, but not 10 wins on the trot. They may well decide early on to prioritise retaining the title ahead of the odd chance of a point in the group stages. The broadcasters dream, of course, is us going to the Brandywell on the last day a point or two ahead of Rovers who will be in Belfield.Towelie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 10:55 am Announce Sheps on a 10-year deal Andy.

Interesting that it mentioned that Daragh Markey has an interest outside of football and that a full-time set up wouldn't suit him. He would've been a player that I'd love for us to go for in the off season.

Cracking player. I thought he was younger than 25 but would be a good signing. Fantastic engine and very skillful.

I see that Andy Lyons is going from Shams to Blackpool at the end of the season for an undisclosed fee. Pity he hadn't gone before last night !

Rovers signed him at the end of last season,, probably with the aim of making a good profit on him. He was close to joining Bolton last year, joined Rovers on a 2 year deal.

Sligo winning tonight now has us looking over our shoulder. They win their game in hand and there’s 6 points in it and we play them last home match in October. 4th has become realistic and I’m beginning to think 5th mightn’t be out of the question. Hope that is wrong but to me it’s all dependent on the fitness levels of Pat Hoban

Sligo have won two on the spin, but their game in hand is away to Derry, plus they have Derry again and Rovers in the next few weeks, and us away too.
Pats also have a tougher run in with away to Drogs, home to Derry and away to us in the next few weeks, they also have to play Rovers again unlike us. We do have Derry one more time, but thats final day away, would like to think we can have 3rd spot in the bag the week before but we have got to improve and fast.
We need to start picking up points quickly, home form will not see us over the line, we need to beat UCD away on Friday.

While we all love a good moan myself included. A bit of perspective. We have already surpassed last seasons tally of points.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.
