Although we weren't playing particularly well, I thought we were comfortable enough until the red card and we would have gone on to win 2 or 3 nil. Moment of madness from Boyle as it was a tackle he didn't need to make especially as another referee may have sent off Ward earlier. Positives were we could have lost and Benson looked lively and fit when he came on. We've missed his energy in the last few games.
Hopefully O'Donnell has identified where we are weak and we are in a position to fill the squad out as we need at least four new faces in. There are a few players that aren't good enough. Top of my list would be Whelan who was excellent last night. Nothing more terrifying for our defence that skillful fast players running at them. We would be facing very stiff competition from within the league and the Uk for him but I think he could go straight into the team and play off Hoban.

100% Niall, 2-0 up and to throw it away, I couldnt believe that sub either, Martin should have been on for the last 10 to try and win the damn game. Poor Old McMillan looks close to finished, and did either of our full backs get even one cross in?niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 9:42 pm Disgraceful performance. 10 men or not you don't blow a 2 goal lead in that manner. And then to cap it all to bring a sub on in 92nd minute like wtf
I just hope SOD is not too 'matey' with certain players, Boyle for a start, Garts really didn't do too much, and take your pick from the MF, just a lazy performance and hopefully he has told them within the dressing room that this will not be tolerated.
Last away win in any competition per James Rogers on twitter was Levadia away last summer !!!!

Fantastic servant to the club and deserved his contract last season especially after the cup final heroics. He had a bad injury last season and hasn't looked to be the same player since unfortunately. I was surprised to see him re-signed again but O'Donnell may have felt he was best option available.

Last away win was at Drogheda near the ned of last season, Cleary's late, late winner, that's the only away win in 18 thoughmike wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 2:58 pm100% Niall, 2-0 up and to throw it away, I couldnt believe that sub either, Martin should have been on for the last 10 to try and win the damn game. Correct Sean, and I was at that, not sure how I (or James R) got that wrong, not like us.............................still not great mind !!
Edit James didn't get it wrong, I read his tweet wrong, christ that is still a huge amount of games without an away win.

Press box podcast absolutely scathing about the performance both on and off the pitch . Couldn’t argue with anything he said to be honest.
