Cant believe its near mid day on game day and there was no thread tonight. Game in hand tonight over Derry, A win tonight will see us leapfrog them into second.

We are second on form table at the moment, Hoping for a win.

We're in great form, yet I feel there's room for improvement. Big game this in terms of our European ambitions. Pats are very hot and cold. In fairness they were the better teams when we met in Inchicore, we've come a long way since then.

Incredible to think we're halfway through the league tonight, and not even the end of May!

Indeed. The Finn Harps thread was opened up on Saturday morning at 11am. Nobody posted on it until 30 mins before kickoff on Monday night. Threads don't grow on hems you know.

The young man needs to find a good local girl and settle down. ;)

Look at this for a stat from James Rogers

"Points at the break in their first season in charge:

Stephen O’Donnell (2022): 34
Stephen Kenny (2013): 33"

The first half performance was very good. Sloggett played very well, a Shields like composed performance and he controlled the midfield. However, in the second half Pats pressed high and didn't let us play out from the back. Playing long didn't suit us at all, Hoban struggled against their centre half and we weren't picking up enough breaking balls.

For once the subs didn't work out, apart from Wardy. Our play became disjointed. Lots for O'Donnell to learn from, but is still three points.

Good first half but we were destroyed down our left in the second half, Good keepers are as rare as rocking horse shit but we have an excellent one…give him what he wants.

Said on Twitter due to clash of jerseys so I can only assume it was pats keepers jersey. And he is a big lad, so they may not have had a diff jersey for him, or a spare from us might not have fitted.

I just caught something on LOI as i was tuning in where they were commenting on the "sleeves" of the Pats players (might have been an underlayer) where the commentator said "oh and there's the white sleeves that have caused DLK to be in their away strip tonight" so i assume Pats turned up in their Red and White strip and Dundalk were lining out in their own home white strip but the ref decided the strip clashed. In that case Pats probably didnt have another strip whereas Dundalk were at home and could get their hands on a spare set of jerseys.
