Significant game this for more reasons than the obvious one.

● Potentially Macari & Connolly's last home game

● While the FAI have been notoriously quiet, they can't let another extremely high profile game go ahead, without addressing the attacks on the linesman in Drogheda. €7000+ is not to be sneezed at, but do we really want more trouble? Unfortunately, the suspended sentence is for the closure of Tallaght, not an away ban.

● It will interesting see Bradley's approach to the game. Will he decide to settle for a point to keep us at arm's length, and in charge of their own destiny?

● I would be amazed if this game doesn't end up being televised.

Great result. Thought Daniel Kelly was magic... Defence very assured. Thought Leahy and macari played their best matches for us. And what a ball from Lewis for the goal. Rovers I felt were bang average. Hope they enjoy their outlay on Towell.. we dodged a massive bullet there.

Great Result .... still feel we need a left back in the window to give Leahy a wee bit of a kick up the backside and push him, otherwise everything moving lovely.
Rovers might just want to start spending some of the money they are due to get from Man City ... bang average team with big names on big wages, playing like that they wont get far in Malta. Also nice to see our neighbours get a draw ... a result that we will also take, great night all round.

A very good win. The Irish teams have some decent draws in Europe but they could all struggle, maybe Sligo will get past Bala from Wales.

I think the league has been really poor standard this season.

Great three points against a physically strong Rovers side. I feared our youngers player would struggle in the second half, particularly as the ref was allowing all sorts of pulling and blocking, which suits the bigger side. However, Rovers lacked ideas in the second half, and we deserved the three points.

If I was a Rovers fan, I'd be disappointed at how poor their play is. They are not really progressing. O'Donnell is working wonders for us though.

What a win. Kept rovers at bay and to long range hoofing. Shep had nothing to do. Great cross from macari and finish from benson. Overall top percormance from the entire side.Can we keep macari?! Rovers full of overpaid spoofers

Great win ,,can Connolly be kept ,will be a big loss if he goes .
Did everybody in the shed enjoy being blinded by the smoke before the game started .

Tried to analyze Connolly and Macari's body language at the end of that. Didn't look like it was their last game, although I'd still expect us to lose at least one.

Would love to keep both but I'm sure Lewis will want to stake his claim in the Stoke team for next season.
