I thought the crowd's attitude was quite telling in the first half. Aside from one or two muted groans, there is now an acceptance that passing the ball around the back will - as you have said - ultimately tire out a team, or create an opening. By God it was difficult to watch but the belief that the breakthrough will ultimately arrive, helps with the boredom. Even after we scored, it was fairly obvious that UCD's only ambition was keeping the score down. I would like to think that match time will help McMillan improve. It was also give the team time to adapt. He's not Hoban, so that's not the way we should play.
