Ye really killed us. Derry pass us out with a game less played, Pats 4 off with game in hand too. Leahy now out for 3 matches and back 4 is already threadbare. 8 games to go an Europe by no means done and dusted. Hoping we can limp across the line

Just thinking - how many red cards did we get in the Kenny era?
The Back of the Wall
They come in packs of 5 - and I need 6

I seriously hope someone in Oriel has a list of players and a stash of cash to make it happen next season. Europe is not a cert and we need to sign 7-8 first team players plus back up, a whole new back line will be needed alone. This idea of loan deals is all well and good, however it should never be more than 2 in a squad our size.

All we need is several players & a new ground , Europe guaranteed Europe every year , will be able to play our European games in Oriel . Will be a Win Win situation. 👍😎

I'd say Europe is now an outside chance given our implosion and Pat's good form. Someone once said the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and hoping to get a different result. How many more times must be be caught out by the high line ? Boyle has gone from being brilliant to us wondering what calamity will befall him at each match.. The U 19s must have someone who we can play against Shelbourne. If we lose that game Europe must be out the window.

Surprised at the negativity. We have 5 home games in our next 7 fixtures and two away games against UCD and Harps.
Thought skip got the selection right tonight, moving Lewis inside and starting mountney and Martin. Martin was doing well.
It's difficult to legislate for such a gigantic brain fart by leahy.
Skip will sort it, I have no doubt

7 goals conceded in 3 games, 0 goals scored in 2 league games. If the highline is risk and reward, I’m seeing a lot of risk and zero reward so far.
Europe is in danger now and we’re going to have to keep this near perfect home record to have any chance of securing it.

I agree. Outside of the current top 3, only Bohs would have a realistic chance of winning the cup. My money is on a Derry City - Rovers cup final which is win-win for 4th place. Bohs in 5th place are 11 points behind - albeit with a game in hand away to Harps. Everybody else in the division have still to play Rovers. Pat's game in hand is the infamous Shels no show. I suspect the FAI are going to delay the decision as long as possible in the hope that the game will be irrelevant.

Would agree with you OF on the likely Cup Final pairing. I have gone from hoping Drogheda would take them out given they had home advantage, to begrudgingly hoping for a Shams Derry final as I feel we gave no chance of winning it. If giving the points to Shels is going to cost Pats a Euro place, they will order the game to be re scheduled.

Not a fan of the highline at at all and as pointed out above a lot of risk for very little reward. I trust Stevie though I think him persisting with/scrapping the tactic is probably just a symptom of being a young coach. I'm optimistic about the future as he's only going to improve, as will we. We're in a bit of a rough patch now for sure but Derry suffered a similar dip in form, I think it was 7 or 8 games without a league win?

We've plenty of home games left so I think top 3 is still very achievable and then we can look forward to a productive off season and decent recruitment with reportedly more financial backing to fill in the cracks.

Dundalk might have a lot of home games ,but lack a real.threat without Hoban. He brings a more physical edge which McMillan and Martin lack. They will need him back soon.

I thought Alfie Lewis was knocked off the ball too easily a few times last night.
