With all the new signings for Waterford I wouldn't be too hopeful about advancing next week. I sometimes wish we had never got into the top 4.

Terrible result and performance. They didn't even capitalise on the 3 pts from the Sligo game. Fornunate that Sligo are out of the Cup as Bohs and Shels don't look like winning the Cup, but who knows.

We have gone to Sh!te.

Defenders look like they are running through quick sand.

Waterford will knock us out. There's nothing to suggest we can beat anyone the way things have gone, confidence is in the muck. I remember Pats having a similar rut at the end of last season, for the first time questions are going to be asked of Stevie, I said he should be given at least 2 seasons and I fully stand by that however it's alarming at how bad we've become in comparison to the first half of the season when we were practically in dream land.

Do not know what to say. Hard to believe there were man ones in here, on the town and on social media over the last few days dreaming of us being top tonight, some expecting a 5 nill win. With our center back options and our overall squad we should be counting ourselves very lucky to get 4th. SOD needs to start playing a system that fits to the two Double Deckers at centre half ... high line is not working and if it was another manger people would be calling for his head weeks ago.

Absolutely fcuking disgraceful from top to bottom. That’s a laughing stock of the league result after being gifted 3 points by the FAI!

Are we allowed to ask questions about SOD and the owners yet? Or are we still in the “ well look at where we were last year” mode ffs.
If VP got that result tonight he’d be slaughtered. SOD needs to do something quick and sort the defence out. Pats win with 10 men tonight. We get beaten by part timers who barely score a goal a game. I can’t see where we’re going to buy a win over the next 2 months.
Watch, there’ll be fcuk all fans Oriel from now until November.

5 goals we concede against UCD when Connolly isn’t playing. I called it on here in July. We let the best defender in the league go and that is the decision that will prob cost us Europe. €250000 minimum. That should have been enough for the Andy Connolly et al to sign him up.

You would have to question why Sloggett has ended the last 2 games at RB. mountney came on at Rb and ended at LB. Very questionable subs tonight and throughout the season at times. ODonnell isn’t Immune to Critiscism, but we are in a full scale crisis if we are beat next week.

We couldn’t get into the Clancy cup with that team never mind Europe, barring 3 maybe 4 players We are carrying a lot of dead weight who are no where near good enough, thank god for short term contracts😉

We could have appointed Tim Clancy in November. Looks like we inadvertently did Pats a favour.

Major overhaul required for next season. We took in far too many on loan who will be gone at end of season. Our best player is Keith Ward. We have no plan B for losing Hoban. And the day is coming soon that we won't have him. So we need to plan for that now no way you should be taking both your fullbacks off in a game. We play far too many backward or sideways passes with little to no urgency in getting forward. We got skinned by speed tonight and not for the first time this season. I'd take a punt on their captain Todd. The big tall cb. Can't be worse than what we already have. We badly missed Connolly there tonight. We have shipped stupid points this season. 2-0 up v UCD earlier in season draw 2-2 and now 2-1 up and lose it 3-2. Not to mention the points wr dropped late on in Tolka in first Rd and dalymount. Plus two defeats in Drogheda
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

Some hysterics on here.

Even if we lose all our remaining games, O'Donnell should be the manager next year. Anybody who thinks otherwise needs their head checked.

Pats fans wanted O'Donnell out during his first season as well

temporary lift on the vow of silence from me

FFS relax , all fair points but
we're 3rd .
we faced relegation last year .

to be 3rd at this point In the season , after a complete rebuild is excellent.
we cant just turn on managers after some poor results , or at least - not when we're still In the top 3 .

sod was too much of a risk for me , owners went for the shinny tinsel and pissed off pat's unnecessarily , but he's shown he can get good results

the last thing we need is the manager to be getting slaughtered here or , pods or media . even if we're beaten next week , relax .

Frustrating this eve , but
supporters = support

I’m more annoyed at the owners for not paying Connolly when it was obvious that we’d make the money back from Europe.

A million miles better than final year P6 but they are relying on our P6 memories too much I think. Nothing much happening up in Oriel . James Rogers alluded to it in the podcast this week. Owners need to lead from the front, not hide behind supporters surveys…

We’re third because we got the 3 points from a match we lost. And because we’ve played a game more than Pats.

As for SOD’s ability to get good results, he has a win and a draw from our last five.

I don’t think it’s hysterics to compare his performance with Clancy and to ask whether the board backed the right horse.
