Our own subs disrupted what was a comfortable game. No need for the changes at 2-1.
Skips' mentor wasnt one for unnecessary changes. 3rd should be in the bag, simple game management against pats and Sligo would have seen us home n dry

It's actually a huge point. If pats fail to beat Sligo on Friday and we beat Bohs then it's done and dusted. Mission accomplished one game early.

If Pat's beat Sligo they will be red hot favourites to beat Shelbourne, who will probably rest players. I cannot see us beating Derry and a loss then would relegate us to 4th. Agree with DFC1903, if we had retained
the lead in either match, we were home and dry provided we beat Bohs. They may not be the easy touch they were a few weeks ago.

Sure is Niall and correct on above, also if Pats lose to Sligo and we only draw, thats 3rd almost confirmed, as we will be min +5 GD and 3 points clear, would need to lose say 3-0 in Derry and Pats to win similar v Shels who will be preparing for a cup final.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 10:22 pm It's actually a huge point. Are you sure we will get anything off Bohs or any other team? Our form is not bad, however our game management is a disaster and does not leave me confident going into any game.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 10:22 pm It's actually a huge point. Once again last night it was visible that Macari was the calming factor in defence, his mobility seems to cover for the lack of it in Boyle and gives the full backs more freedom as they do not feel the need to cover. Once the subs were made, we looked very disjointed. The question is, did we need to make those changes?
Ohh and we should not forget .... Ryan O´Kane ... yet another performance to be proud of. If he keeps them coming, clubs will be looking to take him away from us, feel he is as good as if not better than the two lads we have from Hibs on loan. Also heard last night that one of our U19s has been called up to the Nigerian U23 team, if he is good enough for them .... surely he should be good enough to be around our first team?

Nigeria calling up the player is an unusual one, as there was more high profile Nigerian desent players who they didn't go after like Gavin Bazaunu and Adam Idah. Bazaunu made his debut for Rovers at 16.
Or maybe Nigeria are starting to go after players at a young age before they make it to Senior level.

I didn't see it myself , but when Sligo went one up let's just say bolger's celebrations were exceedingly excessive.

Pepsi not confident of holding onto a lead in any game. Nope. But Europe is in our own hands. With regards the subs yes I felt McMillan's legs were gone early in second half so we needed to make that change. And it was a knock down from martin into Ward which rescued the point for us in the endPepsi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 12:40 pmAre you sure we will get anything off Bohs or any other team? Agree with you on McMillan, however Adams and Bone were strange ones I felt. Both were were having a good game and Bone seems to have added a little bit of muscle to our midfield, exactly what you need going into the last 5-10 minutes of a game.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 2:29 pmPepsi not confident of holding onto a lead in any game.
