Connahs Quay game would be at the same spot we faced Newtown a couple of years ago,, TNS ground I believe ..
If we get past Magpies (and we should) I would fully expect us to be up against the Welsh club as they should beat the Icelandic team, looked up the latter and they don't seem to have much about them. On the other hand CQ are no mugs, play in europe most seasons, beat a SPL team a few years back too.

If we do play CQ, that will be some bit of luck, getting two sides both in pre-season, still need to beat them mind, starting with Magpies.

And correct on the ground, if CQ make it, looks like they have nominated the ground that Newtown used, where TNS play, and that is technically or actually in England !

I hope you're right about Connahs Quay v KA, Mike, but I'd have the Icelanders as slight favourites. They're in season for a start. That said KA are midtable.
Great news for anyone contemplating travelling there, their first round tie has been moved to Reykjavik (and presumably a second round would be too), which makes it much, much more doable. But here's hoping for Wales!

I see KA knocked out Breidablik tonight in the Icelandic Cup. Breidabik will be playing Rovers in Cl.

Dundalks opponents Magpies are playing against Preston North End today if any one has any interest in seeing what they are like.

Holding their own so far. Hankins called in to a few decent stops and making a few chances of their own, although this isn't a full-strength PNE.

Starting to re-think my view on this Sean, the in-season could be a factor alright.

CQ drew 1-1 away to Stranraer at the weekend.

Observations:

Magpies can hold their own against PNE's first team, which is something Dundalk need to be aware of.

However, PNE's youth team are a few levels above their first team. Particularly Mawene and Rodriguez-Gentile who are tearing them apart.

Is anyone flying into Gibraltar this week?

If so do you know what the set-up is to get a taxi to La Linea when you get out of the airport?

Heard taxis don't cross border, so wondering do you just walk over and get one from there.

The South Europe heatwave is going to play a role tomorrow for sure. The Magpies players will be a little bit more acclimatised to it but it's gonna be inhumanly hot on the Mediterranean for the next few weeks.
