Sure we had no European money this year and had both of them in our side. Bohs may play the poor part-time outfit, however they have enough money and are very well managed.
There's a difference when they were already here and settled at the club, it's a completely different scenario leaving a club with Europe secured to one without unless it was to get more game time.

Bohs were linked with everyone under the sun last year as well, Hoban included. They signed next to nothing.

If they have been told they will not be getting new contracts or reduced terms, they may just feel it is a great move. Maybe just maybe Bohs have offered them the same money and they would be saving the petrol money!

Shelbourne getting big investment from Southampton https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer ... 6tcX_nsACg

They could be making big name signings over the Winter.

Was about to post this .... think we might see them operate as a feeder club for young players or mopping up lads who haven't made the standard over there. Regardless looks on paper a good move for them.

Think a more interesting link is with Brentford and Midtjylland and their 'moneyball' approach to football.

Guess we will see.... there might be a bit of a Peak6 vibe about them too. Southamton are currently in the relegation place and Goztepe are 12th in the Turkish 2nd tier. Though they might leave most of the running of the club to those already there.

Be interesting to see there approach... would they use it to collect the top u23 Irish talent? Or a club to send some youth players on loan to? Or just add some capital?

Southampton signed 9 players in the summer with the average age of 21. They were signing potential ,but probaly needed a few experienced players also.

The manager Ralf Hasenhuttl probaly done well to last 4 years. He had some good spells, but he lost twice in the Premier League 9-0. A shocking stat.

For anyone that may not have seen the Argus this week, our new kit supplier seems like its going to be Play-Fit & Also Bet Regal look be be kit sponsors again next year.

Lets hope we aren't waiting for 12 days of Christmas this year before we start to hear some player news.

Think Playr-Fit mostly do GAA kits, not much of a sample of their work bar some 3D templates which in fairness look grand.

I just want a plain white less busy kit this time around. No red/black stripes going across or half stripes at the bottom or worst of all a horrible double stripe down the middle that looks like the M1 motorway.

Ali Coote on the radar of Cork City and Sligo Rovers. He has another year on his contract at Bohemians, so a fee would be required. Cork would be showing intent if paying fees.

Ben McCormack is on his way out of St. Pats apparently. He was seen a generational Irish prospect not long ago. Rumour was he fell out with Clancy this season because he refused to go on loan to Drogheda.

James Lennon suppose to be on the way out also.

Sam Curtis linked with a lot of Clubs, Uk and abroad. Pats should get a good fee for him.

At 16, he is such a class player. I think time will tell that talent-wise he is par with Bazunu as the best youngster the league has produced.

I think SOD will have his list of targets even from before end of season, he got most of them spot on for 2022, and I fully trust him to get all right for 2023.

The only exception probably was McCourt. I can only think of one game he did well in, away to Bohs when he came on for Boyle, but has yet to play in Oriel.

According to James Rogers SOD tried to sign him before so he must fancy him
