Poor from McCourt, he thumped the back of yer man’s head. Has he a history of indiscipline ?

Can't believe McCourt did that. Great opportunity for him after playing very little football.

Ward has been very good. Hopefully he's on the list to be re-signed

Yes I'd definitely resign wardy. Had been excellent over both spells with us.

Brilliant way to finish season, identical record to Derry only missing out on 2nd on GD. Definitely be resigning Wardy. McCourt should be let go, doesn't have the mentality at all, prime chance for him to show his ability and he blew it.

I wouldn't want to be counting on this Derry side to win a cup final.

Would also be a chance to put Derry to the sword.
Suppose it comes with the mentality that we have over achieved already this season.
Are you suggesting that we haven't overachieved?

Great to see Stephen doing a reshuffle in the last game in the Brandywell . Obviously all his calls were correct , securing the three points . Excellent management once again . Great credit to the starting eleven , who secured the three points .👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Great win and intensity for what was more or less a dead rubber. All the players looked up for it.

Gartland solid as a rock. Has he another season in him as a backup centre half with some coaching? We could have a fairly young team next year and could use the experience in the squad.

Big shout-out to Cherrie too. Fantastic servant over two spells and would be a great send off to keep a clean sheet in what I would assume is his final game

Lewis was the best player on the pitch in my opinion and will be a big player for us next season. Unfortunately if we are to challenge we will need to sign 5/6 of his quality and I'm not sure where they are going to come from as there aren't too many standouts within the league that are available.

I can't wait to see who we bring in, we may need to have a look at the UK market, I'd say one of the main benefits of being owned by StatSports is the ability to scout players using their technology. I believe I read somewhere that Shepperd was identified because he had the highest leap of any of the goalkeepers at Brentford (including the senior team).

Been very critical of runar since he came in. Thought he was light and couldnt pass to save his life but hes been brilliant over the last month. Would like to see us try to get him in again next year. Had a terrific game tonight keeping lafferty and then coll at bay.

They will likely look at the UK market with the StatSports links, and some permanent deals from within the League. Junior Quitirna was released by Charlton. Phoenix Patterson was released by Spurs. Waterford have had contacts in England to bring in these players.

4 wins out of the last 6, show things were steadied by O'Donnell after the big blip in the Summer. A fantastic achievement to finish on level points in second.

Despite all of their signings, without Connolly, Derry is a very average side. Both us and Derry finished 13 points behind Rovers, a big gap. Rovers showed another gear in the end.

Not sure where I heard it, possibly one of the podcasts that he wants to stay.

Had we have kept Connolly we would have finished comfortably in second and may have given Rovers a bit more of a scare than Derry did. Still the right call not signing him though.

But replacing him with McCourt was not the right call.

Derry signed a lot of players at the start of the season but made a few were very average signings like Ciaran Coll and Shane McEleney. Higgins probaly wanted some local characters but they would need better strength in depth.

Diallo will miss the Cup final. He impressed since he joined in the summer so will be a loss.
