Hull White bang on the money
Plenty of fans here moaning that they "were chased away by the fans". Seems like it was a let off for us. It would be better to remain as we are with a lower budget than have those vultures in charge.

I don't think the current ownership are due much praise with all this uncertainty going on but credit where it's due, they showed restraint not to go ahead with this deal for the good of the club.

Showed restraint? It was only two weeks ago that journalists were being briefed that it was the fault of Dundalk fans on twitter for spookin Hull

Don't believe that personally, James Rogers said on the latest episode of the Press Box that reports of fans scaring away investors with a few tweets were largely bullshit.

I'm not saying Sean O'Connor is incapable of lying but on the episode of Inside Oriel he said that they decided against the deal or something to that effect and before we knew it they were into the next desperate LOI side looking for investment. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt in this case.

I don’t believe it either but it’s coming from people in and around the club so that’s what was being pushed for whatever reason I’m not sure. They’ll bite the hand off anyone coming with the right figure and don’t doubt that for a second. I’ll judge O’Connor period on actions not sound bites

No serious investor walks away because of press or fan feelings without testing the waters. If you have millions to put into a club and you are serious, then you have money to hire PR people to sell it the right way and get fans on side. Interesting was the comment that the investors were waiting on the updated books or something to see what the clubs accounts looked like. I would believe that is more along the line of truth and would be part of due diligence. Additionally, I know our previous ownership had their doubts about the money taken or not taken at gates etc., so maybe the new lads are looking a little closer.

Sean and Alan have been in the world of international sport long enough to know how the Turks operate .... they come in full of promises and leave as quickly, mostly a disaster behind. They tried before arriving in Ireland to strike deals with lower leagues teams in Holland, Belgium and Germany, needless to say they didnt get a deal over the line.

Let SS try to get investment quietly. If they are allowed to do a deal correctly, we may all get a very big surprise. These lads are dealing with some of the biggest clubs (franchises) in the world on a daily basis, have their staff on the ground, so they will have a feeling for what is good or not.

Well this didn't last long.

This will be painful if they don't make Europe next year. I hope they have backed Bohs to win the cup in order to minimise their exposure.

It's a bit silly from Shelbourne that they didn't think a co owner wouldn't be having an influence on transfers. In one of his first interviews as Shelbourne owner ,he was talking about signing players from Turkey, Croatia,Serbia.

Something very iffy about the whole thing and looks like some kind of financial fiddle. Would be hilarious if they lost their European spot due to some financial doping and we sneaked in instead.

I wonder if SS are going to cut ties with the club completely. Surely they’d be an ideal main shirt sponsor

JR reporting that we’ve secured 888 online casinos as the new sponsor. It’s an even more lucrative deal than Bet regal apparently. If that’s true, great stuff and well done to whoever in the club got it over the line. The more money we have , the better players we can attract.
