Overpriced ticket to a pre season friendly for a club in England or reasonably priced ticket v shels. I know which ones I'd be getting rid ofoldfogey wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 7:45 amQuite a few Rovers fans not best pleased either. (I'm not crying, just something in my eye). Their game with Cork City moved to Sunday as well. Community Shield on TV that day as well so a lot of part-time LOI fans will have to make difficult decisions.holidaysong wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 8:22 pm Clashes with Athletic Club vs Manchester United in Lansdowne Road that I've tickets for. Quite annoying.
It appears this will be the norm going forward for clubs involved in Europe.

I enjoyed my weekend. Went to the Gorey Rangers v Rockmount game, very enjoyable. Then it was the Town v Rovers on LOITV ( really, really enjoyable) and the the second half of Longford v Pats - good stuff too. And, as always I wonder why Dundalk can't have a ground like Bishopsgate. Simple, all seater, wouldn't cost a fortune.

Hull and Shelbourne fans turning on one another on twitter over Shels latest signing, Hull supporters taunting them saying "we own you". Couldn't imagine that for us. They've pretty much only signed Hull reserve players and tied down a couple of their first teamers as well.
We've dodged a bullet I think, you can see why the deal fell apart if this is the way it was going to go. Can't see Duff hanging about.

I think the Shelbourne fans should watch them in action before judging them. Watching the Shels v Cork City game, Harry Wood looks a good player

Aye, like I said, it is all coming home to roost now but it is only the beginning but the start of the end for Shels! I wonder where that Hull City cowboy fan who came on here saying I was wrong is now, probably in the Tigers Lair pub telling his mates how it is only a matter of time before their Chairman is buying elite players and treating his gullible board to trips abroad.Towelie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 7:58 pm Hull and Shelbourne fans turning on one another on twitter over Shels latest signing, Hull supporters taunting them saying "we own you". It will be at the end of the season where they will stronger in the transfermarket with players out of contract in LOI.
I don't know what Duff would be annoyed with. He was bigging up the takeover before it happened. It was inevitable a few Hull players would be going on loan.

To be fair HW, you have been consistent and on the ball with this stance right from the start.Hull White wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 10:40 pmAye, like I said, it is all coming home to roost now but it is only the beginning but the start of the end for Shels! What benefit have Shels seen so far, plus if any players move out for a transfer fee, who will get that cash I wonder???

Shelbourne would get the cash. Jack Moylan linked with Lincoln.
The owners have only been there since June. They have tied down a number of players until end of 24. Not worrying about who will be out of contract in a few months.

I would imagine there is a loan account back to the owner. Money will go in one door and out the other.

To be fair Mike, living in this area and not a die hard Hull fan, although I like them to do well, you can view what is happening without the rose tinted specs! He had applications and has interviewed some very experienced managers/coaches before appointing Liam Rosenior. He is playing Rosenior like a ten bob fiddle. If you read the web site, The Hull Daily Mail or listen to BBC Radio Humberside who have now been banned from doing Radio Commentary at City matches because of the commentator giving his opinion on different matters. Those opinions are very similar to mine. I am delighted that we did not swallow his BS.mike wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 2:59 pmTo be fair HW, you have been consistent and on the ball with this stance right from the start.Hull White wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 10:40 pmAye, like I said, it is all coming home to roost now but it is only the beginning but the start of the end for Shels! Good luck to Shels and I genuinely hope for their sake that I am wrong but looking at what he is doing at City as opposed to what he promises, I doubt it.

Re: 2023 Season General Thread
I fear we could be in trouble if that happens and it's starting to look a little more likely. A lot of the squad are either out of contract or on +1 deals. It'll be a huge challenge trying to get Europe next season should we fail this year and it could be another reset.
The issue we are going to experience is other clubs around us and below us are getting their shit together off the field and we are remaining static.
