It's a strange competition. Hardly the need for Premier teams involved in it. Give the Junior teams a chance.

Re: Leinster Senior Cup 2023
Always thought this and league cup were useful competitions to give fringe and youth players in the squad a run out. Might be a challenge this season if we are fielding a smaller squad

Was the draw made?
I remember in Kenny first season we played sherif up in Dublin and he used the match well in pre season to play alot of players. Big crowd at the game too from both sides. Went to et.

The LSC has effectively been a reaerve/youth competition for thr big boys since it came back. The chaotic running of it doesn't give it any chance to establish a toehold. The League Cup should be played up to at least the quarter finals in preseason (like in the 90s), better than playing friendlies

Re: Leinster Senior Cup 2023
I remember a Leinster Senior Cup Final, final poss mid 90's, almost sure it was Richmond Park, we lost to UCD, the highlight was
2 UCD fans using a tannoy for the whole game cheering their side on !!
It was a big cup back in its day mind, checked dfc.com earlier and we won it as many times as the league cup (7).

I remember this as the the one played on the astro pitch beside Clontarf Dart station, if that's the right one? It was absolutely Baltic that night.
There was also another one against St. Pat's CYFC in Irishtown Park. The Irishtown House did quite well that evening.

There are some rumours flying around that the Shelbourne match is fixed for Tuesday 31 January.
That's all it is, a rumour.
