Still no word on the 4th round tie at home to Shelbourne. For what it's worth the winners will be at home in the 5th round to Wexford (who beat St Pat's 3-1 in Inchicore)

Would make sense to play this on the Friday 10th as theres no friendly on that date ..
Just checked, , Shels playing Galway in a friendly on that day so its a no go unfortnatley

FAI Connect is showing a 2-0 away win for Shelbourne last Friday. Anyone know if that's a mistake or did we give a walkover?

Re: Leinster Senior Cup 2023
No way of knowing who us responsible for this but it is interesting that the fixture was listed for 3rd February, the night we were in Drogheda. They played their own tie last Friday, while Shelbourne had a friendly. Somebody didn't want to budge.
I certainly wouldn't blame the club, the pre-season was mapped out before the draw was even made.
As football competitions go, it's a bit of a Lada, and most loss-making of games you can play.

If its Stevies call fair enough, rather we put all effort into UCD but not a great look to fail to fulfil any fixtures. Throw out a few u19s...oldfogey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 7:59 am No way of knowing who us responsible for this but it is interesting that the fixture was listed for 3rd February, the night we were in Drogheda. Should have played u19 and some of our subs bench. Get games into the legs. We have three keepers and loads of u19's. Has their league started yet?

Agreed. Surely there would be some benefit in fringe players and u19s getting some senior experienceniall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 12:50 pm Should have played u19 and some of our subs bench. Get games into the legs. We have three keepers and loads of u19's. Has their league started yet?

They move on U19 players sooner then looking to give them any game time.

Re: Leinster Senior Cup 2023
I’m worried about this. Hope I’m wrong but could the reason we didn’t fulfil this fixture is the lack of squad we have? We currently have 15 fit outfield players for the UCD game…

This may have worked out in our favour. We have signed a few since this game was cancelled so would be ideal to get some football into the new players.Towelie wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 9:57 pm Well, well, well...
