Dundalk v Bohs in Dalymount .
This game will suit Dundalk , & it’s one that we can win . It will test the calibre of players & management . There will be no easy matches this season . Each match should be treated as a Cup Final . All you can ask from a player is give 100% , & if each man comes of the pitch at the end of the game knowing that he give it is all , there can be no complaints. Of course you have to be clever & put the ball in the net , I fancy Pat Hoban to score two , as Dalymount is his favourite ground . This is a big week for Stevie & Garts to get the lads ready to battle , & that’s what it is going to be .

Every disrespect to the "other" thread, its important that we try to maintain standards in OW, if not on the pitch. Not sure where else we might go in terms of a different starting 11, with the possible exception of a fully fit Paul Doyle. With Daniel Kelly only having 10 minutes under his belt post a long hamstring layoff, it would be unwise to put him in from the start. John Martin took his goal well, but his inclusion reminded me of Jamie McGrath when he used to get bumped - unfairly - out of the no 10 role to make way for someone else. The ball invariably went out to O'Kane with Martin drifting inside - which is what gave us the goal.

Being honest there is already a bohs thread established. This comes across as very dismissive towards the original poster of that thread. Isn't a good look OF. I don't see anything controversial or wrong in that original post.oldfogey wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 12:53 am Every disrespect to the "other" thread, its important that we try to maintain standards in OW, if not on the pitch. It was very much tongue in cheek.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 7:37 amBeing honest there is already a bohs thread established. I was asked if - following Colm's untimely passing - I was taking up the mantle of creating match threads. I will respect your views as an Admin and

Jesus, one bad draw with UCD, and everything gets pretty spikey here.

I thought John Martin did very well and should have been awarded MOTM. He’s solid on the RW. Is that the position he got his goals for with Waterford?

Well it’s hard to believe “ Old Fogey “ who ever you are would start another thread . I actually thought a lot about what I would say & tried to be positive . Safe to say , that’s me out of here , I will not post anything again . Its more than disrespectful . I think most people would put it in another category . Being nice knowing you guys , & thanks Niall for calling it out , says a lot about you 👍

Bohs gone back to being full time this season and have a great training facility at DCU. Keith Buckley back at the club and captain will give them a lift. Ali Coote supposed to have played very well against Cork City, he was on the way out befoe Declan Devine took over.

Need to put the last game behind us. Bohs the only team with an advantage over the rest after match week 1. From what I heard online, Cork were dire that night.

Can’t expect the tickets to make general sale, new stand only holds 450… probably hear more today from the club

Just to say, it’s pretty sad that for Orielweb that OF and JbGoode have stated that they’re both leaving over threads or perceived slights. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and both with make the right decision to rejoin.

Got a ticket. Was surprised to get one as not sure their new stand holds more than 500. Nice gesture of their club to name stand to a volunteering stalwart. With all the new signings have no clue of the team or how they will gel

Peach of a goal by Flores. Dundalk have offered little going forward. Hoban trying hard but Talbot has had nothing to do

Decent game and we have played well without threatening. Annesley is a liability in defence. I'd be taking Dan Kelly on second half. Davies is playing well.
