Perfect investor would work both sides of the border, sell cheap diesel and smokes on the qt, every pint sold in the Lillywhite would come with a free vodka (or whatever they fill in the Smirnoff bottles these days) and he would be a great auld fella with a bit of land and a few cows. Sure he would only take cash at the gate, players would all be part time, driving top cars and get a free SingLi and pints before and after training/matches. ;)

The best deal which is public at the moment seems to be MT and the Bournemouth owner, whom I assume MT is representing. It would certainly explain why Mike watched us and then Wolves vs Bournemouth the next day (a night out with the old and new work mates). Wouldnt let the Hull Johnny Mc Turk anywhere near the place. As soon as he gets fed up or hits a sticky patch with Hull he will be gone asap.

Probably worth pointing out Mike Treacy wrote on Twitter over the weekend that he isn’t involved in any bid for the club, which I’ve seen speculated about a few times on here. He was here in the UK and Ireland on a personal trip, and remains a fan of the team so would naturally watch a game when he’s on this side of the pond. Same for AFCB where he still has friends working at the club. He, like me, watches most weeks on LOITV!

Unfortunately you're always going to get people joining dots which sometimes will have no attachment.

Dermot Usher the Cork City owner spoke on a podcast about being approached to takeover Dundalk previously, but wasn't happy with the situation at the club.

Apparently hull held talks with Drogheda before Christmas but ended up dead in the water. Now it appears that the Bournemouth link to us is also a non runner.

I remember the former Drogheda chairman Hoey mention something about the Turkish links on LMFM but didn't sound too excited about it. Drogheda are looking for investment for a new ground or a redevelopment, that wasn't going to happen with Hull City

Acun is a decent guy but he will eventually suffer from the same frustration that every other City owner had. Hull is a Rugby League town with two Super League teams, City will always be the third team in the town. This guy has not actually invested any money in the team. You have been warned.
Premier League, FA Cup Final, Championship Play Off Winners twice, we almost played on the moon, never forget that!
We will be making a challenge again for promotion.
Laughing at Hull White, he doesn't know what he's talking about, give him the wide berth.
You know nothing about "frustrations" that every other owner had!
Go on then, tell us all about the frustrations?

Would he be as cocky if DCC were not paying for the redevelopment of their stadium and had to fund it themselves

No probaly not. But they are a well run club. They invested the Matt Doherty money into upgrading facilities at DCU https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soc ... 42599.html

Their ticket sales are going up, and with redeveloped Dalymount at near 8k, that will bring in solid finance down the road. Made good money on the Bob Marley retro jerseys too

With the greatest respect mate, realistically speaking, Hull are and always will be a mid championship team. Fact, how is that for a Rafaism? The owner has not invested anything in the team yet. He has appointed a young coach who is learning on the job and if he wants Stephen to play the same style as Hull then we will be ruined. Black and Amber 1904 is obviously a passionate Tigers supporter and there is nothing wrong with that whilst I am not, I am a football fan who lives in the area and goes to the odd game so I feel I can comment without looking through rose tinted specs. If this happens this forum can be the judge of who is right, personally, I would back myself. Hull City don’t even own the ground and never will as it is owned by the council and the local Kcomms company. The guys stated personal fortune is about 100m, he will be able to run Hull with that but don’t expect any investment. I have no intention of getting into a he said she said scenario with Black and Amber so I will leave it at that. Previous owners asset stripped the club, if I mention Harry Maguire, Andy Robertson, Jarrod Bowen and Keane Lewis- Potter to name just a few who were sold on for relatively low fees and little re-investment. The new chairman takes fans on holidays, maybe Black and Amber 1904 was one, cheap entry for pensioners and kids, charity donations to Turkish Earthquake charities, all very good and as I have already said he is a good decent guy who you couldn’t fail to like but he sacked a manager who wasn’t a genius by any means but knew the league and appointed Shola Arveladze who didn’t and now he has appointed Liam Rosenior because his preferred appointment said he wanted autonomy on who he brings in or let’s go or he wouldn’t take the job. He is a meddler chaps and remember Dundalk last meddler………..Buffalo Bill! I rest my case!

Great stuff, well done to the fans who highlighted their disgust. I've no doubt the strong negative reaction had the desired effect.

Fcukin Liam Rosenior telling us how to play. Jog on son.
