Dundalk didn't play well. Created very little like in the Derry game but its a win and second in the table. A few of the new players are beginning to settle into the team. Drogheda probaly at least deserved a draw, but didn't take their chances and a bit too casual with the penalty.

Great result last night. Drogheda won’t loose many at home before the summer . Sets us up for a big game against rovers which should be a sell out

Dundalk are starting to win ugly now, always a good side of a team progressing. 10 points from the last 12 on offer with 2 tough away games, and only one goal conceded is another excellent return.

Awful game as you'd expect in Dr8. If they played a bit more football they'd be a decent side.

Still, great night out, cracking atmosphere, a lovely goal, stunning penalty save and Drogs skulking home with the unarguable fact ringing in their ears.... Forever! Forever! Forever in our shadow!

A number of tweets were sent last night from a Drogheda fan and another page with the name "Dundalk Inbreads" with disgusting twéets which named a Dundalk Legend who passed away.

No doub about it, There is the usual childish silly banter at times between rivals but there is a line you don't cross at times in stuff being said.

He wasn't long deleting his messages but they were saved and sent to Drogheda United.

Fair play to Drogheda Chairperson Joanna Byrne & board at Drogheda United for taking such quick action regards what was sent.
Hopefully a lifetime ban occurs and it will teach others not to repeat the same again online which can affect people.
