Re: FAI Cup
Bohs and Pats paired together and us at home to Harps or Wexford would be ideal

The draw for the quarterfinals will take place on Tuesday at 12.30. It will be streamed live on the FAI's YouTube channel.

Good to see Ruari Keating back playing and scoring after the death of his father.

Not confident about this at all. As said by others, Galway are as good as promoted, they will be very tough opponents at home. Weโll need to be at our best.
Donโt fancy Bohs either.
It may be the wrong year to finish 4th in the league.

Re: FAI Cup
Not an easy draw but Bohs or Pats away and we'd be probably going out, so this isn't so bad all things considered.

It will be interesting to see what happens this year at QF stage.
In 2021 there were replays, but they were dropped last year because Rovers were still in Europe.

Re: FAI Cup
Not sure what all the negativity is around drawing Galway. They are a first division team made up of first division standard players. Play to our abilities and we shouldn't have too many worries. Pats, Bohs or Drogheda are far stronger sides so was good to avoid them.

Totally agree Louth for Sam . Imagine some of them giving the team talk in the dressing room . Why not say positive things . Will never understand that mentality . I managed in the DDSL & the team talk was mega positive & the lads believed it . CMON THE TOWN . ๐

Lads if we want to win it, we will have to beat a few more teams. Dont understand this Sh1te about which team we get and so on .... its a cup ... if you want win it, you beat the teams you are drawn against.

I don't think we will beat Galway away. Times like this I wish there were replays.

They are a team in form regardless of Division. Lost just once this season. Drogheda are in a relegation battle. Pat's and Bohs battling to get top 3. Galway can put all the focus into the Cup. But if you want to win the Cup you have to earn it.Louth4sam wrote: โTue Aug 22, 2023 4:43 pm Not sure what all the negativity is around drawing Galway. Re: FAI Cup
Maybe like Europe O'Donnell won't want to win the tie because a semi final is just not where this team is at yet..
Seriously though, it's first division Galway against a team with sights on Europe. Should be lambs to the slaughter.
Let's hope we don't get a penalty!
