This is a game we should be winning - but then so was last Sunday. Plenty of question marks now about

(a) who should start?
(b) what is our best formation?

I'm leaning towards Sloggett, Doyle and Horgan, with Kelly, O'Kane and Martin/Hoban in attack. Obviously 4 at the back but - Davies apart - you can take your pick. You will get pretty long odds on us keeping a clean sheet.

How about starting Annelsey at 6? Think it's his preferred position? Chris shields is probably the leagues best ever 6 but he was a shaky centre half

----------------- Shep's
Archie Brownlie Boyle Leahy
---------------Annelsey-------------
Horgan Sloggett OKane
----------------Hoban
----------------Martin

Max Mata will obviously be a loss for the remainder of the season for Sligo. He was a quality player. Sligo have done well from player sales, good fees for Kenny 150k, McGinty , Keena and Mata all went for around 100k each. Better to lose them for a fee then going for nothing.

Dundalk should be winning this.

The same starting 11 as the shels game with the exception of Hoban, and only make subs if necessary.

Would U drop a goalscorer in form?

I like the look of that team and plenty of steel the whole way through the spine. Hoban and Martin could be interchangeable and Horgan and O'Kane should create plenty. My only concern would be if there might be a bit of a gap from Midfield to the front two when we're attacking.

Very luck to get 3 points here tonight. Yet another game where I am asking myself what SOD is thinking when picking his team and making subs, did he not see his 11 last week burst their arses for him? Malley slows us down something else, added to that the lad looks like he has 2 gears and one of those is stop. We are a team who cannot afford such a player as we do not have the added quality in other parts of the team.

Actually thought that was Malleys best game for us (that I've seen)

Hoban looked to be carrying a knock, Martin should have come on a lot earlier.

Thought Horgan ran the show for the first 35/40 minutes. Great to see us play with someone who links the attack. Was badly missing in the team.

Hopefully Muller is ok, the pitch claims another victim!

Sligo played some good stuff and would have deserved a draw. Dundalk barely tested the inexperienced Sligo keeper. A good header from Kelly Davies made a few good runs forward but struggled a bit defensively

Massive hole in the middle of the field and that's not down to Malley. I think he gets a lot of unfair criticism but he was far from out worst player tonight. Subs made a difference but he made changes way too late and we easily could have conceded.

If I'm taking any positives from the game aside from the 3 points obviously, it is Brownlie looks a cracking signing and we actually have a bench now that can make a difference.
