Go Fund Me 2024
Looking beyond the Galway result, lets pull together and raise a few Euro to help the team move forwards.
I have set up a go fund me

If you can donate please do, if not don't worry.
Everything raised will be passed on to the club in full, Oriel web is not here to make a profit.

If Andy Connolly won’t put his hand in his pocket why should I?

Whilst the intentions are good, I don't think giving money to the club is the answer. Would be better for the fans to organise and fundraise through the supporters club.Gearóid Bellew wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:11 am Looking beyond the Galway result, lets pull together and raise a few Euro to help the team move forwards.

Dundalk fans are hilarious. Half are saying that Fastfix are paying Horgan's wages and others that he won't put his hand in his pocket.Thesquareend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 9:27 am If Andy Connolly won’t put his hand in his pocket why should I?

Re: Go Fund Me 2024
Before money is donated to anyone, we need a CEO/General Manager with a plan and skill set to implement it. Looking in from outside, it looks like a rudderless ship with certain individuals hoping to line their pockets for a second time. SS have to come out and let us know what their vision is, how close or far away from investment they are and more importantly what is their plan for next season and those thereafter. Maybe they will clear up the question, is the club owned by StatSports or is it their private investment with SS only operating as a sponsor, how much of the club is in ACs hands?
We now have a LOI which is no longer dependant on relationships to JD and his mates at the top table, we have a LOI which is trying to professionalise itself and our club is being left behind on all fronts.

Re: Go Fund Me 2024
An admirable try here but fans will want to contribute in their own way such as STs , merchandising and the Patron scheme.
However I will repeat what I wrote before. The same fans who are now on FB , X and OrielWeb calling for SODs head and the owners to sell the club, are the same supporters who were up in arms when Hull were about to invest in the club. When we had a chance of investment which might bring some stability for the future of the club the most vocal of fans and podcasts said what amounts to “NO, I’d rather end up in the 1st Division and have a community club”.
Well guys, you got what you asked for…

Dunno about the rest of you but having put a few hundred quid into the club this season I’d find it very hard to put my hand back in my pocket when it feels like it’s just gonna be pissed up against a wall. There’s no plan and nothing to be investing in

Re: Go Fund Me 2024
Maybe when we hear the boards plans for the immediate and long term future of the club. Their aims.why this season has been an unmitigated disaster. Why recruitment has been shockingly poor. Until they discuss with fans all of the above, then absolutely no fan should be funding this. It's a free get out of jail card for the owners.TrevDaRev2 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 12:57 pm Dunno about the rest of you but having put a few hundred quid into the club this season I’d find it very hard to put my hand back in my pocket when it feels like it’s just gonna be pissed up against a wall. Think the gofundme is a decent idea, but I think it's something that should be worked on with the Supporters Club who should then establish a dialogue with the club to determine what the donated funds get spent on.

Re: Go Fund Me 2024
The 1903 are busy demanding a apology from the players / club, I would rather show support & get behind them for next year which is why I put the fund up.
I am more than happy to work with them on where the money goes though.

Re: Go Fund Me 2024
Busy demanding an apology! We lost a match. Jesus wept we live in a woke society. Do we really want a contrite apology from the players. Hollow words that ultimately mean nothing! No we want much improved performances which won't come from them being forced to say we are sorry we lost to Galway.
