All the best Daniel, Tried hard every time he pulled on the jersey. I dont see it being a signing that will take Derry that extra step, but is a good squad player to have none the less.

A good player when fully fit ,but had lots of injuries. Playing on a 3G every second week in Derry won't help like at Dundalk.

As it stands we are 5-6 weeks away from Xmas, no word on Season Tickets, no sponsor on kits that may be sold over Xmas (will put some off buying I am sure) and players rumoured to be leaving at the speed of knots. What I find very funny in all of this is .... the lads who protested to get rid of Peak6 are all very quiet. Do they know something we don't?
Ye you’re right, the ssa are cowards.. I really thought they’d have released some sort of statement by now as they were the driving force behind getting P6 out in 2021. The club is in the gutter because of 3 local men it’s a crying shame. 2024 is going to be miserable and we’ll definitely be lucky to stay up.
Fast forward two years and the protest group didn't exactly get it right, so I don't blame them for not sticking their neck out this time round. They must have got assurances at the time that this ownership would be different but here we are.

We now need an owner willing to spend money for the privilege of owning our club. A lot of money too, we need an owner who will cover floodlights, new pitch at the minimum and then keep us full time, giving a proper budget to O Donnell. Then after sorting that, actually look at the long term state of the club, stadium and where fans sit in all of it.

Does anyone know any billionaires?

Good player and even better human being. He had a good season last year as he mostly stayed fit but Derry would want another physio or two in with the amount of injury prone players they'll have.

That's the thing though, all the players that have left recently and went to Derry have struggled with injuries, that pitch at Oriel clearly takes its toll on them and then the Derry pitch is only slightly better, I'm not sure if Kelly will strengthen them alot he will be a good squad player , last season they were missing a goal scorer which would make me think Hoban would be ideal for them.

Afolabi likely to leave Bohemians, Hoban would be wanted there and Galway. But Derry is where he can compete for a League and has European football.

Derry are also linked with Pierrot of Athlone. It's probably one or the other who they would get. Pierrot is 24 so they could potentially do well if was to perform ,and on a 2/3 year deal.

Wardy just confirmed on Insta he's gone too, nothing from the club yet though.

Edit: Confirmed now on the clubs socials.

Told this morning that SOD wants to rip the squad apart and rebuild, nothing to do with the owners. All his decisions .... don't believe it. Told yesterday that players asking to leave ..... you wouldn't know what to believe. One thing for sure, a fair few liars around town.

Liars and wafflers in Dundalk? No chance...

Hopefully SOD wants to rip the squad apart and that's what's happening. There aren't many I would hold onto. But as we all know the issue is who will be coming in. Hard to do a big rebuild on a small budget. A very hard thing to do, if he manages it he will be in SK territory

So he’s ripping apart a team that he built with the help of Gartland and others and we trust him to build another/ better team with less money. For me our style of play and tactics were awful last season and nothing will change regardless what the playing budget is
