Lads the question has to be asked now with a new owner coming in ... will SOD be manager come Easter if he pillowcases up this window and results go against him? Will his cult status be enough to protect him under the new ownership?

His contract is up in the summer I think, so if we're languishing around the bottom of the table in June it could be curtains for himself and Garts.

Way past time for garts to go, seems to spend more time making curry than "Football Operations"

He should be judged based on his managerial career and only his managerial career. His last season was poor even if we only missed out on Europe on the last day.

If we're not challenging for Europe he could be in trouble.

Some of U need to wake up. We had our former glories. Doesn't mean we have a God given right to challenge for titles or European qualification. You earn it on the pitch, and if the budget isn't there then you can't make a silk purse out of a sow 's ear. Remember prior to the previous owners selling up, it was rumoured we were going part-time. The new owner only took over before Christmas there was no budget in place yet people don't merely expect, they demand miracles. I'm not saying O'Donnell is the man to take us forward, but he got sold a pup by the previous owners and has never been given a proper timeframe in preseason to assemble a squad. And finally unless our new owner gets the investors he states he needs, then I don't think we will be challenging for anything beyond survival.

GK: Barcola (hopefully) + 1 more

Def: Muller, Boyle, Mayowa, Davies, Annesley?, Mulligan, Burns (hopefully)

Mid: Oostenbrink, Doyle, Benson, Keane, Durrant, Mahon, O’Kane, Horgan, Mountney?

ST: Elliot, Kenny

That would be 20 total. Realistically need another CB maybe 2 if Annesley isn’t resigned, and need a proper 9. That’d bring your squad up to 22 with maybe the odd 17s or 19s player like Scott Brady featuring here and there. Can’t see it being any bigger than that with no European football this season

Did you get in to see it? ;)
What system did we play? Were our keepers any good? Would you sign the trialists or give any of the young lads who made their debuts a full time contact? ;)

Spoke this morning to someone who was at it and he said it was purely to run the rule under match over a few players in match conditions and to get match fitness on its way. Nothing much to to take from it for either side.
