Hayden Muller is the only recognised 1st team defender, so not surprised that we have conceded. That said, with Horgan, Mahon, O'Kane, Bradshaw and young Kenny all playing you would still expect to score. Just 5 (all kids) on the bench so - with respect - it's not likely to improve.

I have seen and played for better trainers in Clancy Park ..... SOD has been stealing a living for 12 months or more now.

You would think that O'Donnell would see the benefit of naming a strong defence, getting a result and some goals. I think he is completely out of touch with the reality of the situation and totally lost. Maybe he wants to be relieved of his duties

Starting to wonder if he is a secret agent working for Derry ... hey Stevie ... go to Dundalk ... sell us all their players and when you get the sack your mate will need an assistant. You would have to wonder why he hasnt walked yet ... surely he can see himself that it aint working and he is doing more damage than good.

It's not our strongest 11 but it's Leinster senior LGE opposition ordinarily I wouldn't give a stuff about Leinster cup but when we are chasing form and goals never mind victories, then a defeat and U have to say sorry it's time to part company.

This was an opportunity to put on a good defensive display and maybe get a few goals to boost morale but it has just added insult to injury. I’d say SOD is even wondering how he has stayed in the job this long. For me it’s 4 months to late but now has to be the time, great player but a very poor manager.

Sounds like we should have been beaten by 4 or 5 with Munro making a few saves.

Just in from the game and absolutely should have been a couple more for them. Munro bailed us out a few times and was our MOTM. Going the other way we created nothing. We were isolated to long range speculative attempts. Although we had youths in the back line, we played a first team level midfield and they just cannot create opportunities to score, even against this level of opposition. Fair play to St Mochtas though, they were very well organised at the back and were deserving winners. Very welcoming club.

Mochtas ran the show , Young Mulligan was turned twice for the goals , & winger slotted them passed Munro , clinical finishes , keeper had no chance . Defence gone missing again . Daryl tried his best & Dundalk had plenty of ball , but again No Cutting Edge . Irish team in attendance .We need strikers & we need them right Now . Some of the shots on goal were so far over the bar ( would be great for Louth GAA Team , fairly embarrassing stuff. We need to beat Shels. Munro is a class act . We have a good owner with backing , it’s time to go shopping for strikers & four more.

Beating Shels after that result?. They will do well to get a draw. A few defender's to come back, but when they can't score with Horgan, Mahon and O Kane playing it's poor

I'll be the first to say it was only a glorified friendly, a training match, but when your training match is THAT bad you're in trouble. Our midfield was Bradshaw, Doyle, O'Kane, Mahon and Horgan. I mean you wouldn't be surprised if he started that midfield in a league match. And we were woefully second best. Credit to Mochtas who were very good and deserved to win by more, but it wasn't even a case of the LSL team playing out of their skin, they just looked the better team in all respects. Munro was the only one to come away with credit. No leadership on or off the pitch. No spark, no creativity. There was hardly a string of three passes. Even when we were all over the place in 2021 we steamrolled Mochtas 5-1 in the cup. When we wer dogshit in 2012 we easily beat Malahide and Phoenix in the cup. That XI should be winning that game in their sleep. So much wrong, on and off the field. And again, a small detail, but we're 2-0 down at halftime and the young subs are just given a ball to kick around instead of being drilled and prepped to take part in the second half.
