Dundalk vs Drogs. 1pm. 1 April 2024

Post by tip on »

Are people afraid to post match day threads!
An early start tomorrow for a relegation 6 pointer in which a defeat would leave us 6 points adrift of the play off position.

Afraid to be associated with the absolute tripe that appears here. OW has become nothing more than karaoke for the sub 70s.

Could anyone describe our style of play? Or what style O'Donnell is implementing.

O'Donnell must have a record for the most halves of football with no shots. The sooner this ends for him the better

Neither keeper has had a save to make. Poor game between 2 poor sides. You can't blame a striker who isn't getting the service.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

A lack of quality on display. Markey has shown a few good moments running direct for Drogheda.

Not good enough .... 2 bad sides and we didnt look the better. If there is money there or if BA has ambitions to keep us up ... the SOD has to go. The man looked broken at the end when he came over to the shed. Something is seriously not right in there ...

Still think there's enough in that squad to finish mid table with a competent management team in place.
But the axe needs to wield soon.

O'Donnell is lost, he has lost the players and something needs to change.

Have to agree. I've seen plenty of shit players playing for us over the years and individually I think we have some decent players considering where we are in the table. A goalscorer and a lot of our problems would be masked.

SOD threw players under the bus with his last interview. I love O'Donnell, amazing player for us and really expected him to excell here as a manager. Regardless of what has gone on off the pitch we don't seem to be coached right and there is no cohesion or style of play this season.

I have no idea who to replace him with and it's not going to be an easy job but the time is right to make the change.

Thought Mountney deserved credit for how he dealt with Foley today. Mayowa was MOTM with Johnson probably a close second. Stevie needs to go. Should’ve been gone weeks ago. Staring relegation straight in the face and hard to see us winning any game never mind going on a run

A goalscorer might only solve some problems. 2 goals in 7 games. 1 from play. There is no goal threat from midfield. Ellis Chapman has 3 from midfield for Sligo.

Cork City had one of the top strikers in the League last season in Keating, but that wasn't enough. A lack of quality elsewhere. Robbie Mahon is capable but needs a run of games.

You played against the only part time team in the league today who didn't deserve to lose. That's how bad o donnell is, a complete buffer

Re post above re markey. He'd walk into any team in league if he was prepared to go full time. He's not - so that's good for us!

On the plus side, I didn't see your scumbag steward calling out drogheda supporters for a fight tonight

Part time or not ,drogheda or as bad as Dundalk ,2 absolute brutal teams.
And off you think Markey would walk into any team in the league you know nothing about football .Drogheda is his level .

Agree that Stevie looked broken. He looks stressed and his interviews he doesn’t look well. The job is taking a toll on the man
