Shepherd looks to have been hitting the gym over the off season. Looks in great shape.

Edit: Apologies wrong thread

The legendary David McMillan has officially retired. I didn't think he was as old as 34. His contribution to the Kenny era was immense and he was one of those who benefitted most from working under Kenny. FOURTEEN European goals (13 for Dundalk) was a frankly obscene return. His purple patch in 2016 was a highlight of the greatest season for the greatest LoI side of all time. Oh, and a cup final hat-trick against Rovers!

Good luck and thank you. Were you the greatest of all time?
Maybe - as a final gesture - you could design a new Oriel?

One for the novelty trivia fans...... I believe McMillan holds the European record for greatest distance between two goals in European competition...... Karagandy in eastern Kazakhstam (for Pats) to Hafnarfjordur in Iceland is just about as far as you can travel within European football

Daryl Horgan missed today's game as 2 of his kids are in hospital seriously ill. Hopefully they pull through.

Chris Shields, unsurprisingly, is growing into something of a legend at Linfield. Such a painful and avoidable loss. He's now the winning captain and holder of the League Cup both sides of the border!
Sami Ben Amar has joined a French fourth level team from a Luxembourg Premier team.
Han is playing regularly in the Korean second level
Abibi hasn't featured for Perugia since joining

Larne look likely to win their first League title in the North. 7pts clear with 6 games to go. A lot of investment gone into the club. Linfield had a slow start to the season after the European exit.

Wilfied Zahibo has 12 appearance for FC Borgo.

How so Sean?
From what I remember, CS wanted to leave and actually took the extraordinary step of asking the chairman to release him from his contract.

Maybe he would have left at the end of the season anyway, but letting your captain and talisman go mid-season when you're struggling is negligent at best

I think Shields wanted to leave mid season to familiarise with the Linfield players in their pre season, rather then joining the following January. I think he had children starting school that September up in Belfast also.

Oh I agree but as Captain of a club should he have bailed mid season? Maybe Bill should have flatly refused his request, which I’m sure a more hard headed chairman might have done

No he didn't. Wasn't in the squad for the game. That's jurkovskis I'm referring to.

Jurkovskis carrying a knock and being saved for their Euro qualifier at the weekend apparently. Pity McGrath didn't get a run out
