Terrible stuff, didn't know Sean personally but knew him from around Oriel Park. Same age as myself, 41, far too young to pass away. Condolences to his friends and family. RIP

Was chatting to Sean and his folks in the Lilywhite Lounge the week before the cup final so a total shocker to open this thread! RIP Seán. My thoughts are with his Parents and family too at this time.

Awful, awful news. A young man taken far too early. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this terrible time.

Shocked to hear this. I happened to be in a pub in Dublin a few months ago and a group of college students from the US were doing a tasting of some craft US beers as a end of course work experience project. Sean just happened to be in the same bar and did took part in the tasting. I never met him before but I ended up spending the rest of the evening drinking with him. Very nice chap and too young to go. RIP Sean

Very Very Sad! I did not know Sean but knew his older family! They have suffered some early deaths over the years, bless them! Really sorry to hear this. God rest his soul and comfort his poor family. RIP Sean.

Also didn't know him or recognise him, but a dreadful tragedy.
He was obviously a big supporter judging by the photo and other comments.
RIP and thoughts with his family and friends.

RIP Seamus Bellew.
Seamus was firstly a gentleman personified & was a football man.Loved his home club and was a volunteer at Oriel for many years. His collection of old programmes from the club and from overseas was amazing.Probably the best collection in Ireland.
Sympathies to his family.
